I cover my face to try to hide my laugh as Ax glares at us, obviously having heard Bianca.

“Who needs a hooker?” Asher asks, emerging from under the water and placing himself right by my feet.

“Your friend over there,” Bianca laughs.

“We think getting laid will fix his bad mood,” I explain to Asher.

He sighs and shakes his head. “If only you knew,” he laughs.

“Enough, assholes. Come eat,” Ax shouts.

I follow Bianca to the table of food and Red grabs Tattoo Face out of a chair, motioning for Bianca and I to sit. Scott drapes a robe over Bianca and she tilts her head up to kiss him. I jump when I feel a robe being placed on my own shoulders and Eli winks at me.

The guys practically inhale their food before deciding to head inside for a poker game. Scott lingers awkwardly before Bianca shoos him away with a laugh. I take another sip of the tequila and it warms my body from the inside out.

“Eat,” Ax says, simply pointing to my plate before heading inside.

“So authoritative,” Bianca rolls her eyes. “Kind of hot though,” she chuckles.

“Uh, hello! Scott!” I remind her and she rolls her eyes.

She laughs and shakes her head. “Oh come on, let me fantasize just a little. I wouldn’t mind being a Bianca sandwich.”

I cover my face, laughing at her. “I can’t believe you just said that.”

She smirks at me as I finally push my plate away, unable to eat another bite. “You ready to spill your guts about why I’m really here?” She asks and holds the tequila to me.

I glance back in the house and nod my head. “Not out here, though. Wanna see something?”

“Obviously.”

I take her through the kitchen and we ignore the guys as I lead her through the garage down to the music room. Her mouth drops as I turn on the light.

“No fucking way! I had no idea this was back here!”

“I just found it the other night,” I admit and she drags her fingers over the piano keys.

“Have you played anything yet? Is there…” her voice catches as her eyes fall on the cello case. “Woah.”

“I know. And no, I haven’t.”

She frowns sadly at me and I sit in the middle of the floor.

“Alright. Give it to me straight. You pregnant?”

I chuckle and shake my head. “Not even a little,” I promise and she sits next to me. “But, there is a lot going on.”

“I figured. So, are you ready to tell me about Mars?”

“It was called Valley Hill Mental Health facility.”

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

(AND A HALF)

AX

I can’t focus on the game and finally throw my cards down as I back away from the table. I slide into the security room and close myself in, looking through the cameras to find where Kate and Bianca ran off to. I’m surprised when I see them sitting in the music room.
