Xavier Michaelson.

Crane, Alesi, and Sinclair didn’t have the fucking balls to cross me. This was retaliation for killing Finn.

And Samara…

She and I would have words. Soon. She owed me some answers and one way or another, I was going to get them, no matter who I had to hurt or kill to get them. Luckily for me, I had the perfect bait already locked up and waiting. It was time to pay them another visit.

Gregory pulled up and parked fifteen minutes later, and I sighed as I got out of the car and stared up at my home in awe, pleased with how far I’ve come since my parents passed away.Mother would be ashamed, but Dad, I knew he was smiling down at me, proud of all of my accomplishments. I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for him teaching and showing me the ropes.

Money.

Pussy.

Power.

It can all be yours as long as you’re willing to do what it takes to earn it.

“Do you want me to stay, Sir?” Gregory asked when he rolled down his window, blinking up at me.

“Go home and get some sleep. I’ll call when I need you.”

“Thank you, Damien.”

I bid him farewell and stalked towards the entrance, sighing happily as I pressed my hand against the handprint scanner and waited for the door to unlock. When it did, I walked in and stepped into the living room, reactivating my security system. When that was done, I made a trip down to the basement to check on my youngest guests.

I descended the steps and approached two doors on both sides, pressing my hand against the scanner to open the door on the left. As it popped open, I entered. Right away the sexy brunette clung to the little blonde and tucked her safely behind her, blocking her from my view. Nothing but malice flashed through her baggy, tortured eyes.

“It looks good in here.” I nodded appropriately while I glanced around, finding their beds made and their breakfast trays empty and stacked neatly by the front door with their empty glasses. “I’m impressed.”

“What do you want?” the older girl asked, her body shaking the longer and harder she held the little one tightly behind her.

“Nothing from you,” I scoffed. “I’m just checking in.”

“I want my daddy,” the little one cried behind her. “I want to go home.”

“Too bad,” I carelessly sighed. “You two belong to me.”

“You can’t do this to us. You can’t keep holding us prisoner—”

“Does this look like a prison?” I raised my hand and gestured around the room, to the TV, the endless number of DVDs, their beds, the bathroom, so on and so forth. “Have Inotbeen good to you girls? Are you not fed, clothed, and under a safe, stable roof?”

“You’re a fucking monster,” she whispered, tears clinging to her dark, long lashes.

“And your ungratefulness just cost you both your dinner tonight.”

I left their dishes by the door and took my leave, ensuring to lock the door behind me.

“Are you awake in there?” I asked, a dark smile carving up my mouth as I knocked three times before placing my palm down on the handprint scanner. “Ready or not, here I come.”

Gentle cries met my ears, and I couldn’t help but huff my annoyance when I found her sitting in the corner of the room with her knees to her chest, scratching frantically at her skin, tweaking from the drugs I’d tempted her with the night before.

“Help me!” she cried out, sobbing harder as her body shook. “The bugs… they’re everywhere! They won’t stop crawling all over me!”

I chuckled softly and shook my head. “You stupid, stupid, woman. You just couldn’t help yourself, huh?”

She let out a scream and tugged at her long black hair, feverishly shaking her head. “Make it, stop. God just make it stop.”

“I have just the thing that’ll help.”
