“Whatever you want, mo chridhe. I’ll do anything you want me to.” My lips are back on hers and the hand that was on my chest has turned into a fist that’s gripping my shirt and pulling me into her.

“You need to take me on a first date. And then lots of dates after that,” she says against my lips.

“I’ve never been on a date before. I’d be happy for you to be my first,” I mumble before capturing her lips again.

“Wait,” she says, pulling away again. “You’ve never been on a date before?”

“No one was going to compare to you. So I didn’t see the point.” I shrug.

She pulls me by my shirt so she can kiss me again. “You should’ve told me sooner.”

“I know.”

“We need to get back to the house before Nate has a stroke. We were supposed to have that video call with the label at some point, and I’m sure we’re past that time.”

I lift a brow in question.

“I was taking a nap and Willa woke me up. She told meyou needed me, so I ran out the door. I don’t even have my phone. I know we were supposed to be on the call by four.”

“It’s after four,” I tell her with a smile. I toss a few bills on the bar to cover the whiskey I ordered but never touched.

“Let’s get back,” I say, holding my hand out to her. She takes it happily. I wrap my arm around her waist and lead her out the door. For the first time in years, I feel happy. I don’t care how slowly she wants to take this. I’ll take anything she’ll give me.

BELLE

“You guys are havingthe lamest makeup sex I’ve ever heard!”

I look up from the song I’ve been working on. Kai is next to me on my bed, strumming mindlessly on his guitar. We made it back in time for the second half of the meeting. Sparks is willing to resign us with a worse contract and a ridiculous six album clause. Cal said no immediately and shut the computer down.

“If we were having sex, you and the entirety of this city would know!” Kai shouts back, causing my face to heat. I can hear Willa’s snort from the other side of the door.

Cal bursts through the door, a look of excitement on his face that morphs to disgust and goes right back to excitement.

“I never want to hear you talk about having sex with my sister ever again. As far as I’m concerned, you’re a Ken doll down there,” Cal says.

“We need to lock that door,” Kai grumbles.

“Frank called!” Cal yells, waving his phone in front ofour faces, changing the subject to something he can stomach.

“Ok? Why?” I ask, not following why a call from his lawyer is exciting.

“He went through the contract. We can perform a new song tomorrow, and Sparks won’t own it! It’s exactly what we need!”

“We don’t have a new song,” Willa points out, having followed Cal into my room.

Cal just gestures wildly between me and Kai. “Belle writes, Kai composes. Simple.”

“Says the man who has never written a song,” Willa says.

“We need this! If we can pull off a new hit song on the last show of the tour and send it toNep-Tunes, it could be our new beginning!” Cal says enthusiastically as he paces the room.

“The label that Logan owns is namedNep-Tunes?” I ask, wondering if the terrible name is a bad omen.

“Yeah. That was already the name when his company purchased it. He kept it because he said the old man that owned it named it that. I guess he let his son name it when he was a kid or something. Sentimental shit. Doesn’t matter. This needs to happen.”

“You want us to have a song ready from start to finish that not only will be a huge hit, but guarantees our future? And that has to be done in the next…” Kai looks at the time on his phone. “Eighteen hours, so we can practice it during sound check?”
