“That seemed fast,” I said to him.

“Yep. It was easy peasy. My strong son wanted to come into this world fast. Trust me. Grace is very thankful.” He smiled.

“I hope Katrina does the same.” I grinned.

“You picked a name?” Gabriel smiled.

“No, we did not. And we are not naming our daughter Katrina,” Zoey said.

“Why not, babe? It’s a beautiful name.” I held out my arms to the side.

“I don’t like it, Carter.” She walked away with Piper and Ava as we all followed Simon to Grace’s room.

We headed home after congratulating Simon and Grace and gushing over their beautiful baby boy. While lying in bed, I looked over some emails, and Zoey looked at baby furniture online.

“We need to go this weekend and look at baby furniture and pick the paint color for the nursery,” Zoey said.

“Okay.” I smiled. “Let me guess. Pink?”

“Aw, how did you know?”

I set my phone down, rolled on my side, and placed my hand on her expanding belly.

“Because I know you.” I smiled. “Zoey, did you feel that?”

“I did.” She grinned.

“I can’t wait to hold her,” I said as I laid my head on her stomach.

“I know. I can’t either.” She ran her fingers through my hair.

“We can’t wait to meet you, little Addison.”

“We’re not naming her Addison, Carter.”

“Why not? It’s a nice name. We can call her Addy for short.”

“No way. No. No. No.”

“Then what names are you thinking of?” I sat up. “Because you haven’t mentioned any.”

“I don’t know. I’m still thinking.”

“You’re a liar. You’re just too afraid to tell me.”

“Carter, my love. I hate to burst your little bubble, but I’m not afraid to tell you anything.” She tapped my nose.

“Then say a name.”

“No. I really don’t know yet.” She set her phone on the nightstand. “Come here and make love to me. I’m horny.” A grin crossed her lips.

“You’re deflecting, Zoe.”

“No, I’m not. I want my husband. Now!” she demanded.

We spent Saturday looking at and buying baby furniture for the nursery. The paint color was easy because Zoey already knew what color to paint. It was the same color as she painted the bakery.

“I’m heading down to the beach. Do you want to come, babe?” I opened the refrigerator and grabbed a couple of bottles of beer.
