I glanced at Nikita before bringing them back to Jade. She definitely had a death wish challenging her Luna. The look in Nikita’s eyes told me that she was trying to rein in her wolf. I got in front of them both and I didn’t know if that was the best idea, since Nikita and Jade growled at me.
Let them fight, Fin. It will put Jade in her place. Besides, she shouldn’t challenge a superior like this.Harlen mindlinked me, bringing my attention to him and Bella. Bella was holding her wolf back as well. She had taken a liking to Nikita as soon as she saw her. That was for sure.
“If you two want to fight. It will happen tonight. Submission only, not to death.” I told them, glancing between the two angry she-wolves. I couldn’t afford to lose Jade but I also couldn’t allow her to disrespect her Luna.
“I’m down with that and I’m ready to kick our new Luna’s ass,” Jade smirked. She was digging herself in a bigger hole than I thought she would be able to get out of.
Nikita was quiet, but that was when she was the most dangerous. She turned on her heel and left the dining hall. Aloysius whimpered, but I stayed where I was. Nikita knew where to go to get changed.
Jade left as well with Harmony. I didn’t know what I had just done, but I hoped it didn’t kick me in the ass later.
Nikita
I made my way down to the training field after I changed into my training clothes. This bitch was going to get her ass beat. She thought because I was small that I was going to be a pushover. She didn’t know what I was capable of because if she did, she wouldn’t have challenged me.
She and her little friend were already in the field. When I walked up, Fin came up to me. I figured he would tell me to not hurt her. But if I was going to be Luna of this pack, then I needed to show them that I wasn’t a pushover. At least I would have to pretend to until I completed my mission and then I would allow this bitch to kill me.
“Give her hell.” I was shocked when he told me that. But I nodded and stepped away from Fin. He was confident in me and I knew why he was because I had taken down a wolf almost as big as him. When he had showed up at my pack.
The she-wolf smirked again at me as she took a fighting stance. I didn’t take my stance; I wanted to figure out her fighting style. She lunged at me and I dodged it. The next punch I allowed to hit me. Making her believe that she could actually win was one of my strategies. It made taking down big male wolves even more fun.
I kept dodging some of her attacks until she shifted to her brown wolf. The corner of my lip tugged up as she attacked me again, this time in her wolf form. Taking a page out of Fin’s book, I flipped backward and shifted in mid-air into my wolf. Shredding the workout clothes in the process.
Gasps from the crowd that had gathered around intrigued me. My red color wasn’t too common, but what set me apart from the ones that I had met was the black and brown mixed in with my coat. And let’s not forget about the white that rimmed my eyes.
Enyo was a force to be reckoned with and I was ready to show this bitch that I was the top bitch here. I was taller than her in my wolf form, which slowed her a moment for me to get my jaws around to the nape of her neck and we threw her.
She landed on her side near a group of males on the sideline. She rose to her feet, lunging back at me, using her teeth and claws to grab me by my front leg. Jade tried to pull me off my feet as she threw me into the air. Coming back down, I landed on my paws and snarled. She wasn’t a pushover, that was for sure. If she hadn’t tried me, I was sure that she and I could have been friends.
Jade ran at me again and I waited for her to get near me when I jumped her and grabbed hold of her tail. Throwing her again, but this time she landed in front of her friend. The sound of something breaking told me she wouldn’t be getting up. So, I ran up to her and growled, showing my teeth at her. She submitted with a little whimper as she turned to her back, exposing her stomach to me. I glanced up from her and over the crowd they were quiet besides the clapping from Bella and Beta Harlen. Fin was smiling beside them, his arms over his chest.
Enyo wagged her tail at him.Enyo, we can’t be fucking him again. The next time we might get marked.
That is a good thing. Then we can tell Fin about what our Alpha wanted from us.
I sighed and shook our head. The she-wolf shifted back and kneeled before me. She was already bruising from the hits that I made and then when I threw her across the field twice. Everyone here now knew that I wouldn’t be some pushover as much as they thought I would.
Chapter Eighteen
Nikita
Ihad been here at the Dolostone pack for a couple of months. Fin had been an absolute gentleman, which made my mission of killing him all the worse. I mean, killing your mate was a disgrace, and the Moon Goddess would probably strike me down, but what could I do?
The sun had set, and I stood on the balcony of his room and watched as the pack had started preparations to go to bed. I couldn’t believe a few months ago this pack had been in turmoil over his uncle. A few of them still looked a little skinny, but they were proud of their alpha. Even without the mindlink, I could tell that they respected him and would do anything for him.
“Hey, my feisty girl. Are you missing home?” I turned as he came out onto the balcony. He wore only shorts, his chest bare and glistened with droplets of water, and I couldn’t help but gulp. His eyes were flickering from his dark brown to the deep blue of his wolf’s. I had never been one to turn down sex, but I was trying to keep him from marking me and fucking him was one good way to get marked.
“No. This is my home, is it not?” I asked as I stared at him. My gaze traveled his body and stopped where he bulged. I wet my lips and he stalked forward, encasing me between his arms like he had when we were at my pack. My hands went to his biceps and the sparks that raced through my body made the desire even worse.
“You smell so good.” His growl made a shiver race down my body. It was getting harder and harder to tell him no.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.” Fin grabbed me up, making sparks race across my skin where his hands touched my bare skin. He sat me down and my heart crashed in its cage as I watched him stroll a couple of feet away from me. The lust in his eyes made me wet. “On your knees, princess.”
I was panting at those words, but I held my ground and crossed my arms. As much as I wanted to do as he commanded, I couldn’t let him think he had that much control over me. Cocking my head as I allowed my eyes to travel his body once more. He was hard and his shorts were tented. I ran my hand down my body and closed my eyes as I caressed my breast. I knew he was watching me. There was no doubt about that. “Mmm, why don’t you come over here and make me?”
He chuckled, snapping my eyes back at him. “Don’t worry, my feisty girl. I will.”
