Harlen came up to me by the window. Bella had gone out of the packhouse with their son. Tobey was now almost a teenager and had been studying to become Beta. He was a hardworking wolf and was coming into his own very well. It was going to be fun when he became beta.
“Some part of me thinks he is keeping her from letting me mark her.”
“What do you mean, Fin? Her being your mate should give her a choice.”
I ran my hand through my hair and then down my face. “I know, but if he threatened her, I’m sure she would side with him.”
“Well, I’ll keep looking into him. He’s young. He has to have some family somewhere else.”
Turning, I laid my hand on his shoulder and sighed. “Thank you Harlen. I just wish that she would talk to me. I can feel that she wants to, but she is always holding herself back.”
“Don’t worry, Fin. She’s strong. I know she will handle whatever is going on.”
“I hope you are right.”

Why would he allow them to come to the Luna ceremony? I just wanted him to go away so I could talk to Fin. But with him, coming to the pack every month was taking its toll on me.
Alpha Roy was pushing me to end Fin. But I couldn’t. This pack had become home to me and Fin was a mate any female would ever want. I couldn’t do it. Why did this have to be so fucking hard? After pacing the bedroom for a while I went down to the garden to get some fresh air.
“Nikita!”
I stiffened at his voice. Glancing around at my surroundings, I noticed I had walked straight into the part of the garden he was in. Fuck!
“Yes, Alpha Roy.”
He grabbed me by my elbow and forced me further into the garden, before pushing me up against the rock wall. Enyo was snarling and growling in my head. If I was Luna of this pack he wouldn’t have been treating me like this.
“Why isn’t he dead yet? It’s been two months! What are you waiting for?”
“Alpha, these things take time. I have to make sure that no will suspect me.” The way he his eyes flickered between his wolf’s and his human ones unnerved me. Like why couldn’t he just fight him and kill him?
Because he is weaker than our mate. That’s why he is trying to use you to get this done.Enyo answered me as she bared her teeth in my head.
“Not this long! Besides, at some point, he is going to mark you! He is already trying to with that hickey. Kill him and be done with it!” Alpha Roy shoved me harder into the wall.
Enyo was itching to get out to fuck this male up. Alpha or not, she hated he was bullying us into hurting our mate. It took everything in me to keep her from making me shift and attacking him on Fin’s territory.
“I will Alpha. But I need time.”
“I expect you to have him lying at my feet before that Luna ceremony.”
Enyo was growling and snarling in my head. This was getting harder to do as the days went by. But what was I supposed to do? Alpha Roy shoved me once more before he walked away from me. I slid down the wall as all the adrenaline started to leave my body. Why didn’t I reject him and then go rogue?
It would be so much easier if I would do that. Hell, I was ready to kill myself to keep him from leaving this world. I needed some advice but I didn’t know who I could go to talk about this. Why was I so weak?
“You know, it would be easy to kill yourself. But then what would Fin do if you were no longer in this world? He went through hell trying to find you.”
The silvery voice brought my head up. I hadn’t even noticed someone coming up to me. Struggling to my feet, I took in the woman’s appearance.
Her silver hair and eyes caused me to shiver, but she smiled and then patted the bench she was sitting on.
“Are you the Moon Goddess?” I stammered as the soft, willowy giggle came from her. Fuck she was here to punish me for what I was planning on doing.
“Yes, you are definitely quicker than your male counterpart. I had to tell him who I was and no I’m not here to punish you.”
“You’ve spoken to Fin?” I asked her as I sat down beside her.
