Nikita sunk her canines into me and I had never felt so good in my life than at that moment. Our bond snapped into place, bringing with it all her emotions that had been dampened since the day that we met.
When our mindlink connected, she showed me the day that he had ordered her to not let me mark her. She had told him she would reject me, thinking that it was because she would be lost to him. But he wanted me gone. Alpha Roy didn’t want me to be an ally. He wanted me six feet under. Well, he better hope that doesn’t make a move on my pack. Because that would be the last thing that he would do on this earth.
“Fin,” Nikita’s moan in my ear made me more aware of the want from her. I pulled my fangs from her mark and licked it to close the punctures. My scent mixing with hers from our blood mixing.
Standing, I tugged her shorts off and unbuttoned my pants as Nikita laid there, running her hands up and down her body. I was so hard it was painful. Nikita moved further to the middle of the mattress and I covered her again.

One hand went to her other nipple as my other held onto her hip to keep her from pulling away with each of my thrusts. I wanted her to feel me everywhere in her body as I fucked her. Her moans surrounded us and resonated inside my head as she came closer to her climax.
“Fin, faster please! I’m almost there!” I picked up my pace while I sat up on my knees and brought her up with me. Nikita’s legs wrapped around my waist and her lips crashed to mine. Her lust and desire laced the kiss as I nipped her bottom lip.

I woke up and glanced at my side. Nikita wasn’t in bed. Sitting up, I spotted her on the balcony of the bedroom.

Fuck! If I had never heard her voice outside of mindlink, I would have thought I had died and went to be with the Goddess Selene.
I’m glad you didn’t. Then I’d have to hunt you down.I growled in her mind.

Nikita never turned from the balcony railings as she mindlinked me. She was gorgeous in the morning sun, standing there in its rays as they hit off her bronze skin. Standing, I went to her, hugging her from behind. She snuggled into me and her scent was my type of drug as I ran my nose up her neck.
The wind rushed past us and with the scent of the woods mixing with hers. The scent brought me back to the day Selene had come to me for the last time. Before she sent Markus to me.
Nikita, have you ever been away from your pack lands?
Yes, I was always being sent out with the other warriors.
This might be weird, but I’m sure I caught your scent when I was rogue. But it wasn’t as potent as it was when I met you at your pack.
She turned to me, the sheet between us as she stared up at me.
“Really? That was so long ago. I hadn’t even shifted yet.” That had been what I had thought when I caught her scent. But I hadn’t really thought about it until just now. I guess with the right smells mixed with hers, I was able to remember the scent back then. Or maybe Selene was letting me know I was close to her without even knowing it.
“Yes, it seems like the Moon Goddess wanted to see if I could detect you or not back then.”
“She is a wonderful person. She was the one to finally convince me to tell you about Alpha Roy.”
Why wasn’t I surprised by this? Why wouldn’t the Moon Goddess try to keep us together? Other than her making it our destiny to be fated mates?
“Well, I’m glad that she did. Because I don’t know what I would do if something was to happen to you. I just found you, and I promise I would give my life for yours. No matter what you said.” I caressed her face as we stood on the balcony together. If anyone saw us, it would be fine since they needed to see us as a united front.
Chapter Twenty-one

When Fin marked me, I was suddenly crushed with so much emotion from him. Being able to talk with him through mindlink was amazing because his voice inside my head was just as tantalizing as the one he spoke with to others. The only thing that was making me nervous was that there had been a crowd of wolves when Jade announced to them I had planned with my previous alpha to kill my mate.
It was going to be hard to convince them it wasn’t what I wanted to do. Jade and Harmony kept following me everywhere that I went. Which didn’t bother me. Let them because if they couldn’t see the mark on my neck that showed me and Fin were now mated and that he knew everything I had been hiding. Then they could follow me to the ends of the earth.
Bella was about the only wolf that didn’t detest me. And it was the only time I wasn’t being followed by Jade or Harmony. Which surprised me. I guess they thought because Bella was a Beta that she would be able to keep Fin safe.
