My eyes came up to his and I nodded. Fin kissed my forehead before pulling me closer and then standing up. He held my hand and brought it to his lips and softly kissed each of my knuckles. “And know that whatever it says I will be here with you to make your future better than your past.”
Leaning back against the headboard I opened the journal and read her name again. Katona, it was a beautiful name. I turned the page and began to read.
Today is my fourteenth birthday and Mom gave me this journal to write down what happens in my life. I really don’t know what to write since this is the first time that I have had one of these.
I guess I could start out by introducing myself. Not like someone would be reading this. These are supposed to be private, right?
Well, I’m Katona and I’m the second daughter to the high-ranking Deltas of the Obsidian pack. Everyone ignores me since my sister is the pretty one. She turns eighteen next month. So she will be able to find her mate. A lot of the pack thinks that she will be the alpha’s son’s mate. They have been dating for years. So the pack thinks they make the perfect pair.
Britona is the perfect daughter, she is a strong fighter along with being gorgeous. I mean who wouldn’t want to be my sister? Yes, I’m jealous.
Is it bad that I don’t want her to be fated to the alpha’s son? That way it would take away her perfection.
I’m a good fighter too. We both were taught at an early age on the fundamentals and how to protect ourselves. But she was still better than me and I hated it.
The alpha’s son Cain will be turning eighteen next month too. Which is another reason the pack thinks that they will be mated. I mean what would seal their bond more than to be born in the same month.
All the females in the pack fawn over him and the beta’s son, Mark. They both are the same age other than Mark turning eighteen today with me. I’m glad the pack hasn’t thought that we would be mates. Don’t get me wrong he’s hot but he’s a douche as well. He would probably be nice to his mate but I hated him.
Anyway, I think that will be it for now. All I’ve written about are others and nothing about me. Maybe next time I can give you a little more insight about me.

Well, she had a sister. So did she find her mate in the pack or was he in another pack? I guess I will read a couple of entries a night. She was interesting to say the least. Wonder what had happened when her sister turned eighteen and my father wasn’t her mate. Did she try to find him? Or did she live alone until he came to her? All these questions and so few answers so far.
The door to the bathroom opened and Fin walked out in a towel. My eyes traveled down his body, watching the droplets race down the perfect pecs and abs and down the ‘v’ that told me just where his cock rested.
I don’t think that I could ever get used to seeing him naked or half naked. He was just too gorgeous. My gaze went to his face and I caught him grinning at me. I smirked back at him and licked my lips. The journal laid on my chest as he used the other towel to dry his hair and face. I shook my head and glanced back at the journal. Part of me wanted to skip to the end and find out what was going through her head when she gave me up. But then the other part of me rationalized that if I didn’t learn about her before she became Luna then I wouldn’t understand.
Grabbing a bookmark, I placed it in the journal to mark the next entry I needed to start with.

Nikita continued to read through her mother’s journal and helping me deal with what Alpha Roy was throwing at our pack. Ever since the phone call I had with him about his Delta Kyle he has blamed us for his death. I wasn’t surprised that he would and neither was Nikita because that was who he was.
We had more wolves in our dungeons than we ever had since I was a pup. I wasn’t too sure if he had any pack left or if he was doing this on purpose to get as many wolves in my pack and then have them break out. So, I made sure to double the guards inside and out. We had also upgraded the cells and doors getting down to the cells.
Now only Dolostone wolves could open the dungeon.
“Alpha we have reports that more wolves from Shonkinite are coming to the pack. What do you want to do? Troops are along the border waiting for instructions.”
My gaze went from the Delta to Nikita her eyes held mine before she placed the book on my desk and turned to the Delta.
“We will be there. Go ahead and wait for us to get there. If they attack, defend yourselves.”
“Yes, Luna.”
Nikita turned to me and placed her hands on the desk. Her gaze holding mine with her emerald orbs. “Are you ready to see what I can do?”
I smirked and stood from my seat. We both headed out the door and went out the pack front doors. Jumping from the top step we both shifted and ran to the edge of the territory. I didn’t slow my speed and she continued to be beside me. It was good to know that I didn’t have to slow down for her.
Nikita what are you thinking about?I asked her as we ran through the underbrush.
When the wolves get here we will show force.She snipped through our link.
We have been showing force.I bumped her a little to get her to look at me. Nikita nipped my shoulder and then sped up to get in front of me.
