Glancing around me I realized that I was surrounded. Well this was going to be hell to get out of. One behind me thought it would be a good decision to snap at my tail. I turned my back on Alpha Roy and took hold of the silver wolf and killed him in an instant.
I turned back to Alpha Roy. Waiting for him to attack me. He stood there before he shifted, his grey pallor told me that he knew that his Luna and mate was gone. Standing there in front of me he looked horrible. If I was to ever lose Nikita, I hoped that I would leave this world with her.
“What have you done with my Luna!” His face reddened as he yelled at me. “Shift and tell me what you have done to my Luna!”
I shifted not because he commanded me but so that I could talk with him. He needed to know that I didn’t have anything to do with her passing. What I found funny was that he thought I killed her just like he thought I had killed the others. So who was the one actually killing them?
Whoever it was. Was the person’s scent that I had picked up before the brown wolf got to me. And they were able to get in and out of both packs without trouble. Now who could that be? If not Alpha Roy? Is someone from his pack killing them and then bringing them to mine? Did I also have a traitor?
“I’ve done nothing to your Luna. But she is in my pack in my morgue. Someone is playing us both.”
“You lie! Take him to the dungeons! And let him rot!”
“You will bring the whole of Dolostone on you if you do not allow me to leave.” I answered him sternly but calmly. This alpha needed to be spoken easy to. Even as his wolves grabbed hold of me. He had gone mad with grief and I didn’t blame him. I would probably be the same way.
“That’s what you think. But who is going to send them this way? Dungeons!”
Well isn’t this a good thing. Back in a dungeon.Alyosius snapped in my head. He paced as if he was in a cell as well.
Can you just shut up? Dolostone will come for us. Besides, there’s always a way to get out of here.I answered him as I sat there. My wounds from the fight with the brown wolf were already starting to heal. I doubt they would scar since I didn’t get them before I had my wolf.
A male wolf had brought me some shorts a few hours after they had thrown me in here. Which was more than what my own uncle gave me. He was going to allow me to be naked as a jaybird when he killed me. If not for Harlen coming to get me out.
Did you even tell Harlen when to actually come if something was to happen?Aloysius taunted me. He sat down to stare at me in my head. I swear sometimes I worry that he never came out of his puppy stage.
You sure are worried that our pack would leave us in this cell.I mocked him. While I sat against the cold damp brick. The cells were smaller than the ones at Dolostone and I didn’t think that they had been used in some time. By the smell of them I could bet my pack on it.

Harlen would never leave me here. Nikita wouldn’t either.I answered him just as the squeal of a door alerted me someone was coming down.
By his smell I knew that it was Alpha Roy. Along with his beta. The way his face held so much misery when he came into view. Could only mean that more of their pack was gone.
“Why are you on my territory? Haven’t you done enough damage!” Alpha Roy snarled into my cell. Claws were slicing through to his palms as he held onto the cell bars.
“I’ve not killed anyone but the brown wolf that attacked me. I was here trying to find out who was behind your attacks. Because apparently they are trying to frame me.” I stayed calm. If I didn’t then Alpha Roy would become even more hostile.
“You’re a liar! You were coming to get another wolf!” His eyes blazed as he tried to get to me. I kept to the wall. Knowing that whoever kept the key to my cell away from him was my saving grace. Because if Alpha Roy had it we would already be fighting and there wouldn’t be a wolf in this pack to keep me from actually killing him.
“You have lost your mind. I have no reason to hurt your pack. If anyone should be mad it should be me at you. You wanted me dead because of something my uncle had done to Kalila. I tried to save her but he already had her in his grasp. So tell me, why would I want to hurt another the same way I was hurt?” I had planned on killing him since I thought that he was the one who had poisoned Nikita. But there was no way that an alpha was going to kill his fated mate to try to frame me.
Alpha Roy took a step back like I had slapped him. Whoever was doing this was wanting revenge on my pack and Alpha Roy’s and they weren’t going to stop until both packs laid in ruin. As much as I still wanted to believe that he had something to do with Nikita’s poisoning. Something inside me didn’t think he did now.
Roy pushed past his beta and back the way he came. The beta came forward to me. His green eyes holding my dark ones. “Did you find the wolf that has been taking our pack members?”
“I’m pretty sure I was tracking them before the brown wolf attacked me.” I answered him back. I didn’t know what he was wanting to know but I would answer anything to be able to get out of this cell and go back to Nikita. She didn’t need to be here with the state that Alpha Roy was in.
“I’ve been noticing a different scent hanging around the pack since your luna’s ceremony. Since Luna Adia’s death I have enacted a curfew. I’m afraid that pups will be next.” His head dropped onto the bars as he hung on them to keep him standing up right.
“First thing you need to do is stop allowing your patrols to run side by side. That’s how whoever it is, is getting through. I’m sure he has been scouting the pack before I even came into the picture.” I was up front with him. There’s no reason to let his pups get hurt if they could be protected.
“I’ll make note to let them know. Is that how you got in?”
“Yes,” I answered him as I continued to watch him. This whole pack was a mess if their leaders couldn’t get their act together. “We need to work together here Beta. Otherwise we will lose both our packs in this process.”
“I don’t think Alpha Roy will. After he lost her he lost his mind. He has always been a little shit even when we were younger but he hasn’t ever been this bad. I will see what I can do about getting you out of here. But I don’t think I will be able to.” He steps away from the cell and I stand.
“Then you need to get a message over to my Beta. You cannot allow my Luna to come to this pack. He will kill her.”
