Iwas sitting eating the rest of my food when Blake came over and grabbed my elbow. He made me stand and I noticed that Conner had went to Bella and pushed her over to the other side. A few of the other wolves were grabbing pups of all ages and taking them to the safe room.

Fin! What’s happening?

Just go with Blake and Conner. They are going to take you to the secret room with Bella. She is going to be there to help with anything that could happen.

Is it the wolf?

Yes, now move your pregnant ass.

This time only I would allow him to talk to me like this. Blake shifted once he was out of the pack house. I climbed up on his back and held onto his hackles as the other two shifted. The fact that I couldn’t shift and help out my mate and pack really made me mad but then Enyo didn’t feel that way.

“You better make sure you don’t hurt me. If you do, Fin will not be happy.”

The dark brown wolf under me snorted before shaking his head. He took off and the others followed behind us. I had never been on another wolf’s back before since I could always shift for myself. Fin had to be okay with this because if not he was going to have a coronary.

We made it quickly to the old Obsidian pack house and Blake let me down. Bella and Conner had shifted and got dressed. Blake stayed as a wolf and held me out of the building until Conner made sure that our path was fine. Conner came back out of the doors and motioned for us to follow.

Blake turned and sat on the top of the steps. He was so still if you weren’t looking carefully enough he looked like a statue. I just hoped that Fin was careful out there. If he died I would have the Moon Goddess bring him back just so that I could kill him myself. I made my way back to the office and couldn’t help but notice that there were paw prints in the dust that hadn’t been there before.

I mean it had been a couple months since we had been here and any of the patrolling wolves could have been in here to investigate. As I made it to the office Conner and Bella were behind me. I pulled the candlestick and the door opened.

Glancing around the room I then understood why there were paw prints here. Fin had someone move things around and bring things in to sustain us for a little bit. Bella came in along with Conner and he shut the door. My son moved around like he knew that we were in my birth pack.

“It’s okay little one. We are safe.”

“Is he moving around?” Bella came over to me and placed her hand on my stomach. Which made him kick and move faster.

“He has been moving like crazy these past few days.” I smiled back at her.

“Yeah, they do that until it gets time then they go still. It will make you worry but it just means that he is coming.”

I nodded and sat down on the couch. This better not be long. I’m not in the mood to have this go on for days. I couldn’t even read my mother’s journal because I didn’t have it with me at dinner. Whoever had been in here had pushed most of the stuff to the side and made the room look more like a sitting room. Only without a Tv or anything to do.

There was no telling how long we had been here. The secret room didn’t have any windows to look out. Which was a good thing since we were hiding. Bella had fallen asleep and I was thinking about doing just the same.

Conner sat with his back against the door that let us in. I have to say they were good at their jobs. They were the ones that were standing outside the hospital and they weren’t even told to. Conner stood up quickly and turned to the door. I stood from my seat and moved to the back of the room.

Blake had to have told him something. Something is wrong. I glanced over to Bella who had gotten up and moved in front of me.

“Conner, what’s wrong?”

“Don’t worry Luna, I have you. Blake is keeping the wolf at bay until Alpha Fin and the others get here. I won’t let anything happen to you.” Conner answered me as we waited for more information.

The house shook as snarls and growls become louder than my racing heart. Someone was fighting with Blake. I didn’t know if it was the wolf that we were looking for or if it was someone else. All I could hope was that Fin could make it here in time.

I didn’t like that the person that was doing all this to these two packs was this close to me and my family. The other thing I didn’t like was that I couldn’t protect myself or the others around me.

The sounds outside went quiet and I glanced over to Conner. He didn’t move from his stance beside the door. Padding of paws came through the door and all I could do was hope that it was Blake or even Fin coming to get me.

My heart hammered as the door opened and a man stood in the opening. A man that I hadn’t ever met before. I’d met everyone in the pack. This man wasn’t part of my pack or Shonkinite pack. His eyes flashed green. They were the same green that were mine. Who was this man?

Conner shifted and attacked the man in the doorway. Pushing him back out of the secret room. The snarls were explosive and I didn’t know if it would be okay to go forward to shut the door. Even though the man apparently knew how to get in. Conner yelped and everything went quiet. Bella pulled me closer to her and farther into the corner of the room.

The man came back in the doorway and laughed. “I knew you’d find your way back here. But not with a Dolostone member. We are going to have to fix that. They are nothing but cowards. They will never help when you need it.” He paused to bare his teeth at Bella before bringing his gaze back to me. “Haven’t you figured it out yet? I’m your father.”

The man that claimed that he was my father had tied up Bella in one of the chairs in the room. Conner was outside the room not moving. The massive wolf had changed back to his human form a few hours ago. I could only hope that he was still alive along with Blake. Because if this man was telling me the truth then he was an alpha and they wouldn’t have stood a chance.
