Aiden looked up from where he was sitting on the beach and grinned, his eyes sparkling.“Go public, huh?Why the change of heart?I thought you wanted to keep it quiet.”

“Because of Beckett and Slater.I want Slater to see…” I trailed off, a flush of heat rising to my cheeks.

“That his role model is fucking a man?”Aiden said, smirking. His eyes darkened as they scanned down my body.“A very, very sexy man.”

I was pretty sure my blush had gone full-body by now.“Not… sex.Just that men can be happy together and it’s fine. And I want Beckett, and any other kids that might be questioning to have good role models.”

“I like it,” Aiden said.“I get more snuggles, and we get to see if Slater pulls any of his homophobic bullshit with me.”

He grabbed my hand and tugged me onto his lap, then uncrossed his legs and settled me against him, so I was sitting between his spread legs, leaning into his chest like he was my big, sexy chair.I twisted around toward him, kissing him lightly on the lips before settling back against his chest. He wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his chin on my shoulder, and I was surrounded by the cuddly warmth that was intrinsic to Aiden.

Octavius was the first camper to notice, but he quickly drew their attention to us.“I knew it!”He turned toward his friend.“You owe me $5, Dev.”Devon sighed and reached into his backpack, pulling out what looked like money and handing it to his friend.

“Why does he have cash in his backpack?”Aiden whispered, his breath feathering deliciously over my ear.

I laughed and shook my head.“If he’s making bets, maybe he needs to be prepared.”

Slater stepped forward, hands on his hips.“Are you guys fucking with me because of what I said to Beckett?”Slater asked.“You don’t have to pretend to be gay, Aiden.”

“Nah,” Aiden said, with all the cocky confidence that used to drive me crazy.“This is my boyfriend, Jay.Maybe you’ve met him. He’s gay.And I am bisexual.Do you have something to say about that?”

I needed to stop the heart-pounding reaction I had every time Aiden called me his boyfriend. It was getting ridiculous.Camp boyfriend,I reminded myself.

Slater stared at us, shifting from foot to foot.“I didn’t mean to be… I don’t know what to do.What if he tries something?”

“Tries something?”I said, laughing.“He’s a gay kid, not a predator.”

“I’m just being honest,” Slater said.“It makes me uncomfortable to be in a tent with a gay guy.”

“Well, that’s on you,” Aiden said.“Don’t make this about him. He’s a good kid and your friend. You should be able to trust him.”

“Well, you slept in a tent with a gay guy, and now you’re saying you’re bisexual. What will happen to me?”Slater asked, his voice going up an octave.

Aiden groaned.“Dude.I was already bisexual. It’s not contagious. If you’re attracted to guys, or to guys and girls, that’s just how you are.”

“Besides, he was the one who hit on me first,” I added. Not that I wanted to share the specific circumstances of the way Aiden had hit on me with a bunch of teenagers.

“That’s not true,” Slater hissed.

“It’s completely true.Jay is gorgeous. The moment I saw him, I had to know if he was single, and if he might be interested in me.”The lie fell off Aiden’s lips with an ease that made me a little nervous.I sat up a little, moving away from Aiden.

“You guys are gross,” Slater said.“Just like Beckett.”

“Homophobic slurs are not tolerated at this camp.”I kept my voice firm.“Be careful with your words, or you may not be coming back. But we will change Beckett’s tent so that he can feel safe.”

Slater glared at us both for a moment, but said nothing more, just stomped off to go hang out with a small group of other kids.Chuckling softly, Aiden tugged me back against his chest.I tried to calm down, listening to his steady breathing and trying to settle my racing heart as we watched the kids play. Most didn’t seem to care about us, which was nice, I supposed.

“You weren’t attracted to me from the beginning,” I muttered finally.“How could you say that with such confidence?”

Aiden groaned.“Yeah, I was.God, your eyelashes?Might have been a bit in denial, though. Why do you think I wanted you to touch my dick?”

“It’s just a bro job,” I said, mocking his deep voice.

He burst out laughing.“Come on.I knew you were beautiful.Couldn’t stop staring at those fucking lips. But I didn’t know what it meant… I’d never felt that for a guy before.”

“Tell me something I don’t know about you,” I said, changing the subject away from my insecurities.

“Like what?”
