She wanted to get away. She found her scent matches instead.

When a travel mishap causes omega Lizzie Tremblay to accidentally skip her heat suppressants, she knows her month-long vacation in New Zealand is going to look a little different than originally planned. Even so, discovering her scent match exists after finding his pheromone-laden suit jacket comes as a bit of a shock. After spending far too long sniffing a stranger’s lost clothing, Lizzie throws caution to the wind, and sets out to find the mystery alpha.

Alpha Matiu Thompson has sworn off omegas, but when a curvy blonde shows up outside his law firm smelling of berries and sunshine, he immediately recognises his scent match. There’s only one problem: she’s carrying a jacket belonging to fellow lawyer Scott Harris of all people, and claims that Scott’s scent is a match for her, too.

With everything they’ve been through over the years, Scott avoids Matiu as much as possible despite the fact that they work for the same firm. When he finds out his former friend is with an omega that they’re both matched to, it’s as if the universe is laughing at him. Lizzie is beautiful and sweet, and it all feels too much like history repeating itself.

With Lizzie oblivious to the tension between the two men and her heat quickly approaching, it’s set to be one scorching hot summer.
