Sebastian shook his head and looked inside the car at me. I opened my door and slid out of the car opposite of Sebastian. We closed the doors, and he jogged around to me, offering his hand.

I accepted and let him lead me into the house. The door opened up to a large living room decorated in warm earth tones. The couch looked like it would swallow me whole if I sat on it, and the plants in the window made me smile.

“Let’s get the glass out of your palm, then you can explore the house?” He led me into the hall and stopped at the first door on the right, flipping on the lights.

The bathroom lit up in a bright yellow, and I chuckled.

“Hmm?” He picked me up and sat me on the vanity.

“I didn’t expect a bright yellow bathroom.” I lifted my head up and looked around.

“This was my dad’s handiwork. He said I couldn’t use all neutral tones.” Sebastian chuckled and turned on the water to wash the blood away from my wound.

Opening a small door on the mirror, he grabbed the tweezers and then reached into a drawer and produced a washcloth. He cushioned the back of my hand and when he grabbed the first piece; I heard a small crunch.

“How did this happen?” He kept his voice quiet and focused on removing it all.

It hurt to swallow, and I shook. “I was trying to get away from Simon.”

He shook his head. “How did you gash his leg?”

I bit my bottom lip. “Since the glass pushed into my palm, I picked up a bigger piece and slashed it at him.”

“You did good.” He smiled, tilting his head to look at me. “Just one more little piece.” I heard another crunching sound and then felt him running his hands over the wound. “Does that feel better?”

I closed my palm and didn’t feel any pain. “So much better.”

“Good.” He pulled out a bottle of antiseptic, and poured a little in my palm, making me hiss in pain, and then I felt his breath blowing over it to help take the sting out. “What would you like to do next?”

I shrugged, watching as he put all the items away.

“Nolan.” He placed his finger under my chin, lifting my face up. “You are my mate. Which makes this our home.”

“This is overwhelming.” I felt my eyes look down.

“It is.” He nodded in agreement.

I shook my head. “Why didn’t the suppressors work?”

He chuckled and helped me down. “My guess is our bond is stronger than they are.”

“Oh.” My hands reached for the hem of my shirt and I rolled it in my fingers. “May I look around?”

“Of course.” He stepped back so I could leave the bathroom. “And if there’s something you want to change, we can work towards that. I meant it when I said this is our home.”

My chest shuddered as I took a deep breath. “Thank you.”

I stepped out of the bathroom noticed the large closet across from it. I opened the doors and saw shoes neatly lined up on the floor, jackets hung only taking up part of the rod and some boxes.

Closing the folding doors, I went to my right, seeing three other doors. Taking another deep breath, I looked into the first room on the left and saw a twin bed, but nothing else inside it.

Moving on to the next room, this one had the door closed. I opened it to see it was empty. Closing that door, I turned around and saw the last room’s door wide open.

My jaw dropped seeing the gorgeous furniture. A large four-poster bed sat against the far wall. A chest of drawers sat at the far left side and across from the bed the matching dresser. Two doors were on the right wall.

I opened the accordion style folding doors and saw Sebastian’s clothes hanging and more shoes on the floor. Closing it, I stepped into the master bathroom and my jaw dropped. A huge shower stall took up part of the wall on my left. The toilet sat alone, cornered off, and then a long vanity adorned the back wall.

When I turned to leave, I noticed the huge garden tub and walked over to see the depth. This tub wasn’t only deep, it had jets along the inside.
