“I made a lot of changes while I was in the city,” I continue, my voice steady despite the turmoil raging within me. “I’ve am buying a house here in town, and I’ll be moving here. My business will still be in the city, and I’ll still be the CEO, but I’ll only go to the office when necessary, which could be a week or two each month.”

Aria’s expression softens at my words, a flicker of hope shining in her eyes. “Cade,” she murmurs, her voice barely above a whisper. “I...I don’t know what to say.”

I reach out to take her hand in mine, squeezing it gently. “You don’t have to say anything right now,” I assure her. “Just know that I’m committed to making things right between us, no matter what it takes.”

Tears well up in Aria’s eyes as she looks up at me, a mixture of pain and longing in her gaze. “I want to believe you, Cade,” she whispers, her voice trembling. “I won’t be able to recover if you hurt me again.”

I feel a pang of guilt shoot through me at her words, knowing that I’m the one who caused her pain in the first place. “I understand,” I say softly, my heart aching for her. “But I am promising you, I’ll do everything in my power to earn back your trust.”

We stand there in silence for a moment, the weight of our emotions hanging heavy in the air between us. And then, without a word, Aria steps forward, wrapping her arms around me in a tight embrace. I hold her close, feeling the warmth of her body against mine, knowing that in this moment, everything will be okay.

As we pull away from each other, I can see a glimmer of hope shining in Aria’s eyes, a tentative smile playing at the corners of her lips. “I want to believe you, Cade,” she says softly, her voice filled with emotion. “I want to believe that we can make this work.”

I smile back at her, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. “We will make it work,” I assure her, determination burning bright within me. “Together, we can overcome anything.”

As I look into Aria’s beautiful eyes, I know that I have only two things to do: reassure her and show her just how much she means to me. To show her she’s my whole life—my whole world. To show her she’s my everything.

I reach out to gently wipe away her tears, my heart aching at the sight of her pain. “Aria,” I begin, my voice soft yet filled with determination. “I want you to know that everything I’m doing, I’m doing it for us. I can’t bear the thought of losing you again or of living another day without you by my side.”

Aria’s tears gather in her eyes at my words as she laughs in joy, and I can see the hope shining in them, like a beacon in the darkness. “Cade,” she murmurs, her voice trembling with emotion. “I can’t live without you either. I have been a mess these past two days.”

I take her hands in mine and go down on one knee, my gaze locked with hers as I pour my heart out to her. “Aria, I love you more than words can express; these past three years without you felt empty. Every win and every achievement I made meant nothing compared to having you in my arms,” I say earnestly, my voice filled with sincerity.

Aria is full of tears now, at my words and for what I’m about to do.

“I thank Joe and Rose for the weekend at the hotel. It brought back the hope that I could have you back. Every moment spent with you is like heaven, and I never want to be with you again. I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy. Will you marry me?”

Aria’s laughs through her tears, her eyes wide with shock as she stares at me, speechless. And then, as the realization sinks in, a smile spreads across her face, lighting up the room like a ray of sunshine. “Yes,” she whispers, her voice filled with joy and disbelief. “Yes, Cade—a thousand times yes.”

I slip the ring onto her finger, sealing our love with a promise that will last a lifetime. And as we embrace, the weight of our past struggles fades away, replaced by the boundless hope of a future filled with love and happiness.

With a renewed sense of hope and purpose, we step into the future together, ready to face whatever challenges may come our way. And as we begin the journey of rebuilding our relationship, I know that with love, patience, and understanding, anything is possible.
