She furrowed her brow tightly. “Then, what just happened?”

“It was just… a feeling.”

The kind of feeling I had gotten just before Colin’s death.

“Dean?” Raven asked softly.

I took a step back from her. “I need to go get the guys.”

“Dean, what’s going on. Why do you look so scared?”

I raked my eyes down her body before I drew in a deep breath. “I’ll be back soon. Finish your breakfast.”

“Dean, tell me what’s going on right now.”

I charged out of the kitchen. “I will when I get back. Stay here, all right?”

“What did you see, Dean!?”

“I told you, I saw nothing.”

And as I rushed out the front door, Raven called after me. My alpha called out for me.

Which meant that it took everything in my body to charge forward instead of turning around at the sound of her alluring voice.

“Dean, goddamn it!”

HUDSON

“Hudson!”

My door crashed open before Dean’s voice sounded through my living room. I furrowed my brow as I chomped my teeth into an apple, my mind barely awake after rolling out of bed only minutes ago.

“Hudson!? Are you here?”

I stepped from around the corner. “You might as well be the Kool-Aid man, Dean.”

He pinned me with a look. “You good?”

The frantic look in Dean’s eye answered that before he did. “We need to talk.”

“Is Raven all right?”

He rushed up to me, speaking so lowly that I almost couldn't hear him. “It happened again.”

I narrowed my eyes as the hairs on the nape of my neck stood on end. “What happened again?”

“You know, the feeling without the vision. The darkness that churns my gut. It happened again.”

The blood in my veins grew cold. “Where were you when it happened?”

“With Raven.”

“Do you think it has something to do with her?”

He nodded his head. “I’m certain that it does. Something’s coming. Something big. And if I’m right?”
