"Not really.” I shrug. Really, not at all in my mind. “I'm in love with her. It's the real thing. She's a part of my life, and I want that to be long term. I'd want to tell him even if he wasn't her brother, but he is. He needs to know." I look around the bar. "Fuck man, I want everyone to know. I am madly, head over heels for her. I want to stand up on this table and yell about it. I want to be with her in public. I want to hug her and grab her ass and tell her I love her and not worry about who's around to hear it. In fact, I want everyone to hear it. I want my parents to know, I want her parents to know."

"Okay, slow down," Owen says, frowning. "You're hopped up on adrenaline, I get it. You're flying high from the games. Don’t let that make you make rash decisions."

"Luna is not a rash decision," I tell him. "She's one of the loves of my life."

I glance at Cam. He reaches over and squeezes my arm, but he’s frowning at Owen, too.

Owen sighs. "Well…fuck. Just…wait until after the season, okay?"

I shake my head. "What? No. That's what I’m telling you. I'm not waiting anymore for anything."

"Just wait until after a few more games,” he insists. “That way, if there are any problems with Crew, they won't affect your play."

"You think hockey is more important than this?" I demand.

He rolls his eyes. "No, I don't think it's more important. But your job needs to be your priority right now."

"I can do both. I can be a hell of a hockey player and an amazing boyfriend."

"This isn’t about that,” he argues. “This is about you and Crew being in sync out on the ice. Think about the team. If he gets annoyed or awkward with you, that could affect everything. You have a whole team to think about. Hell, a whole city.”

"Luna comes first," I say stubbornly.

"Alexsei—"

"Owen, take a breath," Cam says.

Surprisingly, Owen does.

Then Cam looks at me and says, "Crew will know about me, too. You and I are a unit. If he knows about you and Luna, he’ll know I’m involved."

“Yeah. I figured you were fine with that,” I say.

He nods. “I am. Just pointing it out.” He looks at Owen. “For everyone.”

Owen places his hands flat on the table and takes a breath. "What about me?"

Cam leans in. "I was about to ask you that."

I lean in, too, my heart suddenly pounding. "Crew’s going to be surprised. But he’s going to be okay. We love her. That’s what he’ll care about.” I pause when Owen doesn’t say anything. “We’re in this, right? Don't you want the world to know how you feel about her?"

Owen looks up at me. "Yes."

"Then let's tell him. He needs to know before anyone else hears and tells him. He needs to hear it from us."

Owen nods. "The thing is, it's not just me telling Crew that I'm dating his sister."

And then I realize what he’s not saying. "You'll have to tell everyone that you're with us, too," I say flatly.

Owen doesn’t answer.

Cam blows out a breath.

"So what?” I ask, looking back and forth between them. “You're worried about homophobic bullshit? Jokes? People talking about you behind your back? What people will say to you to your face?" I ask.

Owen shakes head emphatically. "No. I don't care about that. We all know what's going on between us. I don’t care what people outside of us think."

"What's really the problem?" Cam asks.
