Ellie gave me a genuine smile before sliding her phone into her handbag. I peered at Raff from the corner of my eye, but he was staring at the food in his hand, refusing to look at her.

“Just… out. Don’t wait up.” Ellie laughed throatily, blowing Jessica a kiss. “Love you all.”

“Love you, baby. Be safe,” Mum called out, shaking her head as the front door slammed. “Who’s she seeing tonight?”

Jessica shrugged her shoulders, and I followed suit, despite knowing my sister would be with a guy tonight.

“I don’t know,” Raff muttered as Mum nodded.

“She’s too old for me to keep tabs on her now. I don’t understand how she’s still single, though. Isn’t she gorgeous?”

Oh, man.

Raff exhaled, smiling widely.

“Yeah, she is. You all are.”

“Aww, Rafael, you’re so lovely. It’s a shame you and Ellie—”

“Mum,” I huffed, raising my eyebrows. “He’s my best mate.”

“Yes, and? Jessica, here is Ellie’s best friend.” Mum frowned, tutting. “You’ve always been like that, Logan. One rule for you, another for your sister. It doesn’t work like that.”

“Ellie’s too good for me,” Raff interrupted with a chuckle. “But thanks for thinking of me.”

I laughed as Jessica squeezed my hand, and the conversation moved to other things. I was feeling good, and I knew with Jessica by my side, there wasn’t anything I couldn’t do.

She’s the temptation I can’t resist, the high she gives me beats anything I’ve snorted before. My fingers stroked the thin tights that covered her thighs, and instantly I was hard.

“I’m stuffed,” I announced, giving Jessica a meaningful look. “Don’t you need a shower?”

“Uh, yeah, if that’s alright?” Jessica said, more to my mum than me.

“I thought we were celebrating!” Raff cried out, waving his hand at the food.

“Oh, Rafael, you know this is like your second home. Just stick the TV on and wait for Jessica to get showered, then you can all watch a film or something,” Mum suggested, polishing off her food.

I nodded, winking at Jessica as Raff caught it and groaned.

“On second thought, I’ll probably just head home.”

“I don’t blame you, mate,” I slapped him on the back, my eyes on Jessica as she helped my mum clear the table. “I’m getting into bed to watch Netflix.”

“And chill?” Raff smirked as my mum frowned at me.

“Uh, something like that.” I sniggered, and Jessica coloured when Raff laughed loudly.

“Alright man, alright. I see you.”

My eyes locked onto Jessica as she walked over to me, tipping her head back to gaze at me.

“I love you,” she said, a smile lifting the corners of her mouth up.

“You too,” I muttered against her lips, and Mum left the room.

Raff left some minutes later, and within an hour, Jessica snored on my chest softly as some chick flick rolled on the TV.

I wasn’t saying I was doneforeverwith my old ways, but at least I had come to terms with some of my demons.

The rest would have to stay locked away until I could deal with them, one at a time.

With Jessica by my side.

The End.
