I glanced back at Raff and saw that he was doing anything but ignoring her, his hand in the air as he waved her over.

Jenna poured the Prosecco into two flutes, giggling away with Margot when my sister poked me in the arm.

“Where’s my drink, brother?”

Instantly I was annoyed when she poked me again. I turned to see her looking at me with interest, her eyes rolling with disgust.

“Can you go out for even one night and not take anything?”

Here we go.

“Go and focus on your own life,” I snapped as Raff narrowed his eyes at me.

“What do you want, Els? I’ll get it,” he offered gently, shaking his head at me.

“Two peach schnapps and lemonade, please.” She smiled sweetly, turning her back on me.

I lost interest in her then; instead, I took my drink from the bar and walked to a vacant corner booth.

Raff could fuck off if he thought I was spending the night with Ellie and her crew.

No thanks.

Jenna spotted me and made a beeline to the table, attracting attention as she did. Margot followed her, glancing back to call Raff over. He was laughing with my sister, flirting like the cunt that he was.

“Is your sister coming over?” Margot asked sweetly, her eyes shooting daggers at Ellie.

I sighed, lifting my drink to my lips.

“How do I know?”

Jenna squeezed my thigh, widening her eyes at me to be nice.

“What?” I groaned as she pursed her lips.

“Be nice to Margot.”

This was the shit I hated—the expectations of being Jenna’s boyfriend.

“I don’t know what my sister is doing, do I?”

“So say that then. Nicely.”

Is she for real?

She nodded at Margot, who was enjoying my dressing down alittletoo much. I didn’t like Margot, but I didn’t really like anyone.

People aren’t my bag.

Still, considering I had snorted a decent amount of snow, these two shouldnotbe killing my buzz. Jenna stared at me expectantly, but I shook my head in response.

“Who do you think you’re talking to?” I asked as Jenna crossed her arms. “No, seriously? You’re not my teacher or my mother.”

“I’m glad because you’re a nightmare,” Jenna replied icily, throwing her hair over her shoulder.

“Whatever. I need a piss.”

Jenna shifted out of the booth, her eyes burning into mine.
