“Not just because of him, no,” I said, realising that it was entirely because of him.

“I don’t wanna pull this dick move, love,” Logan said, stepping towards me. “But maybe your boyfriend isn’t always so respectful of your thoughts and feelings.”

“I know he cheats on me,” I snapped, shaking my head at the look of disbelief on his face. “It’s not news, Logan.”

“Then why are you still with him?” He demanded, stepping closer to me.

“Jess? Logan? Shall we go?” Ellie giggled, interrupting at the perfect moment. “I’m too hot, and I’m starving.”

I turned back to Logan, who had moved away from me. He lit a cigarette, and despite hating smokers and anything to do with smoking, I was fucking entranced.

He knows, too.

He turned his head to blow the smoke away from me, his eyes on mine as he focused his attention on me.

“Yeah, let’s go.”

How am I supposed to resist him tonight?

Chapter Thirteen

LOGAN

When we got back to mine, my sister and Jessica headed to Ellie’s room, and Raff sank to the sofa with a contented sigh.

I didn’t know what he was so happy about—he didn’t even lock lips with my sister.

“You kissed Jess,” Raff stated, tugging his trainers off and tossing them aside.

“I did.”

“And?” He pressed with a yawn.

This is the only problem when you’re high alone. No one else feels awake.

“She’s agirl.” I rolled my eyes, hitting the buttons on the remote.

I couldn’t be too loud, or my mother would kick my ass—she was on days this week and wouldn’t tolerate being woken up by me fucked off my tits.

“You don’tjustkiss girls, Logan. Ever.”

I saw that Nightmare On Elm Street was playing on channel four, so I hit play, leaning back for a horror fest.

“Shut up, Raff. She’s got a boyfriend.”

Who is an utter cunt.

“And that’s never stopped you before either,” Raff added, settling down onto the couch, his hand propping up his head.

“If you’re going to carry on with this bullshit, then you can just go home,” I warned as he closed his eyes.

“Nah, man. I’m too tired. Too drunk. Too happy.”

I shot him a look, but he had this stupid smile that told me he was serious.

“My sister and my best friend. Fucking cliché cunts, the pair of you,” I said, my eyes glued to the television.

“Yeah? Your sister’s best friend? Not too cliché yourself there, Zander.”
