“I don’t give a fuck,” I snapped, and he blinked in surprise. “I havenothingto say to you.”

“Jess, baby, I’ve messed up,” he said, reaching for me.

I backed away, my hands in the air as he frowned.

“Donottouch me.”

“Stop being so dramatic, babe,” he whined, shaking his head at me. “Can we at least go inside? It’s freezing.”

I let out a harsh laugh, keeping a distance between us.

“Carlisle, you’ve got five minutes to say what you want, then you can leave.”

Carlisle narrowed his eyes, staring down at the floor.

“I miss you,” he mumbled. “It’s shit because I got carried away with the attention from other girls.”

I waited, refusing to give him an inch. All I could see was him fuckingthatgirl when he wasmyboyfriend.

“Have you finished?” I asked, arching my brow.

“Why are you being sodifferent?” Carlisle snapped, walking closer to me. “You know it’s you and me, baby.”

“It used to be.” I laughed harshly, shaking my head. “Our relationship endedwaybefore I found you with that girl. I should’ve left you a long time ago.”

Carlisle scoffed then, reaching out to grip my wrist, tugging me closer to him.

“You don’t mean that.”

“Yes. I.Do.”I hissed through gritted teeth. “Get your hands off me, now.”

“No, you’re being stupid. Let’s go inside,” Carlisle commanded, pulling me towards the house.

“Listen to yourself!” I yelled, yanking my hand away from him.

He turned to me, his jaw clenching as I continued.

“You’re so full of your ownbullshit,Carlisle, that you’re blinded by it. I deservebetterthan you,” I declared, my eyes wide. “How youusedto treat me? That’s what I deserve. You fucking adored me, and something changed.”

“You changed!” He hollered, stepping closer to me. “You let yourself go—”

“Urgh, Carlisle, gofuck yourself.”I shoved him in the chest, striding towards my door.

“Who thefuckare you talking to?” Carlisle snapped, slamming me against the wall.

My back ached at the impact, and I let out a groan.

“Get off me!” I hissed, trying to shove him away from me.

“You’llneverget better than me, Jessica. You should feel lucky that I’m fucking here,” he spat out, his eyes boring into mine. “Now open the door, and stop this shit.”

“No.” I shoved him again, and this time he flew back, his eyes filled with surprise.

Whoa, I’m strong!

He stepped closer, and I swallowed my fear. My heart lurched as his fists clenched, and I braced myself for impact again.

What is he going to do to me?
