“Oh, wow, we’re making digs now?” he says, causing me to laugh. “Your laugh is beautiful, Nora.”

And cue the blush.

“Pull your knickers up so we can eat,” he says, and my jaw drops completely. “What?”

“But…”

“But you want to feel good?” he asks, and I nod because, yeah. I’ve still never had an orgasm, but with every book I read that has them, I crave one more and more.

And this seems like the perfect time. He spanked me, punished me, and now I should be rewarded.

“Well, unfortunately, you don’t learn your lesson if this ends in an orgasm,” he says with a shrug. “I want you to love yourself as much as I do. If I reward you after each time you insult yourself, you’ll think it’s okay. Even subconsciously, you’ll link the two events.”

I sigh, but pull my knickers up before getting comfortable. He hands me my sandwich, and the tray of snacks he has.

“Can I grab mine and join you?” he asks, and I nod. He races out the room and comes back within a few minutes, and smiles at me. “Cevon’s so fucking jealous.”

I laugh and take a bite of my food.

I love Cevon as much as I love the others, but it’s exactly that. Equal love. He’s had me all weekend, and I need to nourish my other bonds.

Griffin and I eat in relative silence, the crunching of crisps the only thing that is really loud, and the quiet time combined with the spanks has given me some time to process things.

Cev and I need to talk, and then so do the rest of my mates and I. As much as I wish this was my decision alone, it’s not, and we should sit and talk this out.

But, first, I think I need to chat with my therapist about it. That’s healthy, right? Realising that I need help and then taking the steps to get that.

“Your dad offered to come over tonight for a therapy session, but I said no,” I say, peeking at Fin from underneath my eyelashes. “But I think I need to talk to him.”

“Then call him, baby girl,” he says softly. He moves the plates out of the way and smiles.

“Do you think he’ll be upset?”

Fin immediately shakes his head. “He’d be upset knowing you needed him and chose to wait. Is there anything you can discuss with me?”

I shrug, not wanting to betray Cevon’s confidence with any of the guys. Fin I trust won’t repeat it to the others and allow them to use Cevon’s worries against him. But I still don’t feel comfortable doing that, knowing it’s something Cevon would never share with the group.

Fin waits a beat, his eyes raking over my face before nodding. “Okay, you know where I am if you change your mind. Give him a call.”

I nod, and he kisses my cheek before hopping off the bed. He grabs my empty cup, and the rubbish, before heading out of the room. He pauses in the doorway and smiles at me.

“I’m so fucking proud of you, Nora, you’re doing amazing.”

I smile and dial George’s number, hoping he won’t be upset at me for disrupting his evening. I’ve got a few things to talk about, but most of them can wait until tomorrow for our real session. I just want to get some reassurance from him regarding my ability to parent.

NORA

Talking with George really helped put things into perspective.

The biggest thing was that he has no doubt that if I choose not to have birth control, and I do end up pregnant, that my wolf will be on board with an abortion. Over the last month that my wolf and I have connected, he’s managed to spend time figuring her out, and he’s pretty confident she’s not ready for pups, either.

The massive amount of relief I felt when he said that helped me realise I’m really not in the position to be a mum yet. We didn’t really cover much else, I’m leaving that for our therapy session in the morning, but he gave me a few different options and made sure I was in a safe space mentally before hanging up.

It was a little unnerving for me having this conversation in the first place. But, once again, George surprised me completely. I never expected him to be so cavalier when it came to discussing aborting his grandchild, but he never once tried to make me feel guilty, pressure me, or even sway me.

He was nothing but supportive in making sure I made the right decision for myself. He’s always made it clear that I’m the priority, not my mates, and he constantly makes that clear, even just in the way he words things.
