I looked over my shoulder, and my eyes caught on Levi where he stood leaning against the SUV, his legs crossed and his eyes glued to his phone, and I knew exactly who I’d choose to be walking beside me to help hand out these pizzas—problem was that Levi was more interested in having a relationship with his phone than me, so…

Hmm, wait a second. Pulling out my phone, I took a step back from the crowd for a minute and brought up Levi’s number. Then I quickly typed, Thinking of more lies to tell me or yourself?

A few seconds later, Levi’s head shot up, and when I arched a brow, a scowl crossed his full lips, and my dick immediately stood up and took notice.

Okay, who knew that would get me off. But there was no denying it. As Levi spun away from me to watch over everyone else, I couldn’t help smirking, knowing that I’d gotten under his skin one way or another. Seemed only fair, right?

LATER THAT NIGHT, I stood in the luxury suite of the hotel and stared out the wall of windows that overlooked the gorgeous Yarra River. The lights from the casino, restaurants, and shops twinkled off the water and made a stunning view as I checked my phone for New York’s time.

It was early morning there, but not too early that I’d be waking my brother if I called now. Not that I thought Liam would mind the interruption, considering the news I was about to deliver.

As I hit Liam’s number and waited for it to connect, I ran a hand through my hair and thought about the insane reaction from the crowd today. It’d been one hell of a smart idea on Killian’s behalf, as much as I hated to admit it. Not only for the fans but for the press. It made the guys of Fallen Angel seem accessible, relatable.

I was struggling right now when it came to keeping my distance from Fallen Angel’s bassist. It was hard enough to resist Killian when he was being a temperamental shit, but when he focused all his attention on me, it was a miracle I didn’t grab him and finish what he seemed hellbent on starting every time he looked at me these days. And God did I want to finish it.

I hadn’t had a date, kiss, or relationship of any kind since taking this job. Every single minute of my day from the moment I’d said yes to managing the band had been consumed with making sure the guys of Fallen Angel stayed out of trouble but stayed in the spotlight. Not an easy feat when you had someone like Viper to keep an eye on. But that left little time for myself, little time to go looking for some relief from the frustration I felt in such close proximity to the one I wanted but couldn’t have.

So instead, I worked myself until I literally fell into bed, and that way, I stayed busy. That way, I wasn’t sitting around thinking about the fact that Killian Michaels’ hotel room was two doors down and he would be more than welcoming if I gave in to the lust I couldn’t seem to shake.

“Hello.”

I startled at Liam’s voice, so caught up in imagining what Killian would be wearing if I were to knock on his door, that I’d completely forgotten I’d even placed a call.

“Hello?” Liam said again, and I cleared my throat and answered.

“G’day, mate. How the hell are you?” I winced at my terrible imitation of an Australian accent, but when my brother let out a booming laugh, I figured it was worth it.

“Oh my God. That was horrible.” When he finally got his laughter down to a mere chuckle, he added, “Can you do it again so I can record it?”

A smile crossed my lips. “How about no, and you better start being nice to me. I’m calling you with a surprise…”

“I mean, you better be, it’s early here, and I—”

“Early? It’s nearly seven, so stop your complaining.” I leaned against the window frame and grinned. “I could always call someone more grateful and give them this VIP ticket to Sydney’s sold-out Fallen Angel concert. Not to mention the first-class plane ticket that will be waiting at LaGuardia International to whisk them away to Melbourne, where they’ll take a private jet with Fallen Angel...”

“Are you fucking kidding me?”

“Oh, hello? Are you suddenly awake, brother?”

There was a pause for a second, probably Liam trying to pick his jaw up off the floor. “Did you really just say what I think you said?”

“I don’t know, what do you think I said?”

“That I’m going to fucking Australia to see Fallen Angel. Don’t play with me, Le. You know that’s what you fucking said.”

I started laughing. “I mean, it’s all dependent on whether or not you can get the old man to give you the time off.”
