“Fine. I won’t step in your way.”

“Thank you.” She beamed at me and sat back, looking lighter than she had all day.

To my surprise, she dropped the conversation for the rest of the flight and we fell into a comfortable silence, neither of us bringing up the kiss from last night.

When we landed, we took an Uber to the hotel where the rest of the group had already checked in. Owen texted me the floor and we rode the elevators up to the penthouse. I had met Owen Kelly a few times, and I knew who his family was, but this was easily the nicest hotel I had ever stepped foot in.

When we reached the top floor, the elevator doors opened to a small hallway with two doors opposite each other. I gestured for Paige to knock on the door to the right—where the girls were staying—as I walked to the door on the left, which Owen instructed was the guys’ suite.

Before I could even knock, Reid swung the door open.

“Cash! I missed you!” He jumped forward and wrapped me in a hug so tight my feet lifted off the ground.

“Put me down, fucker.” I laughed.

He grabbed my bags and gestured for me to enter. My jaw hit the ground when I noticed the details of the space. The suite was two stories and had floor-to-ceiling windows that looked out over the Vegas Strip. There were massive couches and a full kitchen with an island off to the side. A huge rounded staircase led up to the second floor where the bedrooms were. It was like a penthouse apartment inside a hotel.

I had no business being in a place this nice.

“Cash! Glad you could make it!” Owen Kelly came up to me with his hand extended.

“Thanks for the invite,” I said, shaking his hand.

“You’re basically family. It only felt right.” Owen smiled as Axle grabbed my bag and took it up the stairs.

A few other guys approached, and Owen gestured to them one by one.

“Cash, these are my brothers: Aiden, Nolan, Luke, and Colin. Guys, this is Cash. He is Walker’s best friend and basically part of the Brooks crew.”

We all shook hands as one of his brothers, Nolan, immediately started pouring drinks. After a few rounds we decided to get changed for the night. I wasn’t sure what the vibe was exactly, so I went with black slacks and a white linen shirt, sans cowboy hat. I ran gel through my hair and tousled it so it looked perfectly messy. It was completely unlike me and out of my comfort zone.

We walked into the girls’ suite to more shots of tequila being poured. I knew Owen fairly well, and I was starting to learn that he was actually one of the tamest of his family. There were a fucking lot of Kellys and they knew how to party.

Nolan Kelly handed me a shot, and I threw it back as the sound of giggles and clicking heels echoed from upstairs. The speakers started blasting “Chapel of Love” by The Dixie Cups, pulling our attention to the top of the stairs.

The girls descended behind Lottie who was wearing a skintight white dress that was practically sheer and a pair of white platform heels. Owen let out a low whistle as she walked up to him. The group cheered and clapped as they assaulted each other’s mouths, but my attention snagged on the beautiful blonde behind them.

Paige looked stunning.

She was wearing a strapless pink top that was made almost entirely out of tiny feathers, and a pair of skintight leather shorts with thin black heels. Her hair was in a slicked-back ponytail and the pink color on her lips looked edible.

Paige glanced over at me and her face broke into a wide, sultry smile as she did a little twirl. I swore this girl lived to drive me wild, her taste still lingering on my lips.

We still hadn’t spoken about last night, and I was nervous about what she’d say. She was a professional at keeping things close to the chest—she was almost scary good at it. It was impossible to read what she was thinking.

We’d agreed it was a one-time thing but now I wanted to punch myself for saying that. It was the second worst promise I’d ever made.

I’ll admit, this probably wasn’t the best setting to talk about how I wanted her tongue down my throat. We were standing in a room with her entire family—minus Walker—which meant I had to be on my best behavior.

It was the harsh snap back to reality I needed.

Everyone started pairing off and the music got turned up as Paige slowly made her way toward me. She stopped directly in front of me and looked up through her thick dark lashes, her hands behind her back so her tits were pushed up perfectly. My eyes bounced from her eyes to her shiny pink lips and all I wanted to do was haul her into me.

“You clean up nice,” she said with a smirk. “Not sure the last time I saw you go out without a hat on.”

I chuckled softly as my hands fell to her waist of their own accord. My thumb brushed her hip bone and she didn’t push me away.

“It honestly felt like a crime to leave without it.”
