"Come on," she whined as she nodded towards the coffee table. "They're about to play the movie." Breaking my train of thought, I followed her over to the coffee table and sat down with the plate of food as Chase hit play on the movie that they had set up on the big screen TV.

Much to my surprise, it was some cartoon movie that was most likely rated nothing over PG, which was a bit confusing. I had never know anyone who wasn't a child to enjoy watching movies like this, and I felt as though they were hinting at something that I had yet to catch on to. As the movie played, I looked around at everybody in the living room, trying to take in their reactions to the movie. The women seem to truly enjoy it, even seeming giddy as it played, and the men in the room weren't even paying attention to it.

An uneasy feeling settled in the pit of my stomach as I started to realize that something had to be wrong, and I wanted out of there. I wasn't sure what exactly it was that had me so on edge, but I wanted to be alone as soon as possible. After quickly finishing my dinner, I put the dishes in the dishwasher, as was expected after dinner, and started to make my way towards the back door. Just as I had opened the door, a giant hand pressed itself to the wooden door, stopping me from leaving.

"Where are you going?" asked the gruff voice of one of the men. I turned around slowly and found myself face to face with the man I had seen storming out to the warehouse before dinner time. He looked calmer than he had before dinner, but the smile on his face had me a big concern. "You're not supposed to be outside on your own after dark." Before I could even respond, the man they had called Scott came over from the kitchen table.

"She wasn't leaving alone," he said as he made his way over to us. "I was just about to escort her across the compound." Caught off guard by Scott's offer, I watched in horror as the man turned to face him.

"Is that so?" he asked, sounding unconvinced. Immediately, Scott nodded in response, and the man turned to face me. "Tell me the truth… Was he?" Wanting to get as far away from the man as humanly possible, I held my head high as I nodded in agreement.

"Yes, sir," I reassured him. "Scott was just finishing up when he offered." The man raised an eyebrow at the two of us as he turned to look back at Scott.

"First, you tattle to Adam in order to start drama," he began as he drew closer to Scott. "Now, you lie to me about having already agreed to take the new girl across the compound to her room." Crossing his arms in front of his chest, the man studied Scott. "Are you trying to piss me off?" Before Scott can say anything, the man next to him rolled his eyes at the man.

"Jesus, Bradley," he complained as he rose to his feet. "If you keep causing trouble for Scott here, I'm going to have to report you to Chase. We're supposed to work together here at the compound, not cause trouble for each other." The man, Bradley, turned to look at the second man.

"I'm not the one starting anything here, Adam," he complained as he shook his head at the man. "Scott here is the one giving everybody a hard time. In all honesty, I don't even think he belongs here." Looking at Scott, I saw the pained expression on his face as he winced at Bradley's words.

As far as I could tell, Scott was still new to the group, so I understood that the possibility of him getting picked on a lot was high, but it pained me to see the way Bradley was targeting him. It didn't seem right, and it made the two of them seem childish as they argued. Even though I knew it wasn't Scott's fault, it still didn't help his case the more Bradley argued back. Seeming just as tired of Bradley's accusations as the rest of us, Adam rolled his eyes.

"I'm pretty sure I've already given you a warning Bradley," he warned as he drew closer. "Chase is already upset with you for messing up the pickup earlier this week. I'm pretty sure the last thing you want is for him to know what you did in order to put us so far behind on work over at the auto repair shop and how you are giving both Scott and Amanda a hard time. You already know Chase's rules about interacting with women." With that, he turned to look at me. "Do you feel safe around him?" Looking into Adam's eyes, I was reminded of the caring nature my father had always had towards Megan and I, regardless of how tough he and Mom had been whenever we were growing up, and realized that I couldn't lie to him. So, without hesitation, I shook my head in response.

"He's scaring me," I admitted, and Adam turned to look at Bradley, who was as red as a tomato as he stood there staring at me in shock and disbelief.

"There you have it," Adam told him with a satisfied grin. "You're upsetting her, and you need to leave her alone. She is none of your concern." Bradley started to protest, but, after seeing that he was clearly outmatched by the two men before him, he put his hands up in surrender and shook his head.

"Alright, I'll leave her be," he agreed before looking over at me, "but remember that you're not supposed to be out, especially after dark by yourself." With that, he made his way back over to the living room, and I heaved a sigh of relief as I leaned against the door.

"Thank you," I breathed when I finally caught my breath. "I'm not sure what he was going to do, but he had me worried." Adam smiled politely as he nodded in response.

"Don't worry about it," he reassured me, "but he is right. Would you like somebody to walk you across the compound to your room?" Without hesitation, I nodded as I looked over at Scott.

"Yes please," I replied with a gentle smile. "Would you walk with me?"

CHAPTER SIX

Scott

As much as I hated to admit it, by that point at night, I had no idea what was going on. So, it was a surprise to me when I found out that she had agreed to go to the movies with me the following Friday. I wasn't even sure what had happened up until that point after confronting Bradley, especially after how scared I was that he was going to try to fight me. By the time I had dropped off Amanda at her room, I found myself blurting out that a new movie was coming out later that week and asked her to join me.

Nothing special had really happened between us during the walk over to her room. We had talked about ourselves in an attempt to get to know each other, and I learned that she was going to be working at the bookstore that Monday. Outside of that, we didn't really talk about anything else. So, when I blurted out the question, I knew I had lost my mind.

I knew that nobody would have blamed me if they had been in my situation. Amanda was as kind as she was beautiful, and I found her to be rather adorable. She didn't have the same child-like wonder as the rest of the women on the compound, but she was also smart and funny. By the time we had reached her room, which was in the same house as my room was, I was completely head over heels for her and didn't even know what to do.

When I had asked her if she would join me for the movie, she had smiled politely and agreed. She didn't laugh at me or accuse me of acting weird as she had Bradley. Instead, she simply agreed and then wished me good night before gently closing the door behind her. As soon as I was alone in the hallway, I was finally able to process everything that had happened and still couldn't believe it.

Throughout the rest of the week, I made any and every excuse I could to go spend time with her whenever she was on the compound. She worked at the bookstore in the main town area, and I was stuck working in the auto repair shop, but we made it work. Everyday, before she left for the bookstore, we would sit down and have breakfast together with the rest of the compound. We would also have dinner together as well each and every night.

After dinner, I would walk her across the compound to her room, and she would wish me good night the same way as she had the night we first met. However, despite all the time that we had spent together, there was one thing I was still unable to figure out about her that was driving me crazy. No matter how many times I decided that I was going to bring it up, I couldn't figure out how.

The fact was I was a Daddy, and I didn't know if she was a Little. The conversation needed to be had in order to make sure things were going to work out in the first place, but I didn't know how to bring it up to her. For all I knew, if I didn't choose my words carefully, not only would I scare her off, but she would think less of me because she didn't understand what I was asking. The thought of having this conversation with her, despite its necessity, was terrifying and had me on edge.

By the time Friday night had come, I was starting to wonder if it was a good idea to go in the first place. I still had yet to have the conversation with her, and I was still nervous. Realizing that I needed a proper excuse to cancel the date with her, I went to go see Adam.

"Is something wrong?" Adam asked as soon as he saw the expression on my face when he opened the door. Not wanting to bother with pleasantries, I looked down the hallways to make sure Amanda wasn't coming.

"Please tell me we still have a lot of work to catch up on in the auto repair shop," I begged as I stared at him. "Tell me I'm going to have to work tonight in order to catch up on everything before the shop opens tomorrow." Realizing what I was doing, Adam threw his head back and laughed.
