Something warm unfurls in my chest. I’ve been worried about Dex for the past couple of years. Watching him cycle through lawyers, getting into fights outside the ring. The fact that someone knows all about his shit and still wants to take him on? That’s huge.

“She really said that?”

Reyna holds up a hand. “Swear to God.”

Banking into a gentle turn as the airfield comes into view below, I say, “Dex is gonna hate that she’s a fan.”

“Why?”

“Because, aside from my brothers and maybe a couple of his close friends, he thinks everyone around him is trying to use him. Which I don’t blame him, because it’s happened before.” I shake my head. “But honestly? This might be exactly what he needs. Someone who respects what he does, won’t take his bullshit and can stand up for themselves.”

“That’s what I was thinking.” She grins. “Ari’s going to his title fight next month. Against that Russian guy—Kazakov?”

My eyebrows shoot up as I gently bring us down onto the tarmac.

“Ari wanted all of us to go, but Mia can’t make it because going to Vegas that weekend. But I was thinking...” She pauses, biting her lower lip. “Maybe the three of us could make a weekend out of it? You, me, and Logan? I mean, we’d have to figure out all three of our schedules, but maybe we could get a hotel…”

Her suggestion sends a warm pulse through my chest. Not just because of the idea itself—which is fucking awesome—but because of the way she says it. Like it’s the most natural thing in the world for the three of us to go on a weekend getaway.

I reach over and squeeze her hand. “I think it’s a great idea.”

Her whole face lights up. “Yeah?”

“Hell yeah.”

It only takes about thirty minutes for Brex to fly us in his helicopter to Portland. A black SUV is parked and waiting for us on the tarmac when we land.

Logan grabs our bags and loads them in the back while Brex jogs over to the attendant and makes arrangements to house Bea for the weekend.

The side of Logan’s mouth tips up and he gives me a wink as he holds the door open.

“After you, Angel.”

My heart trips as he leans in to brush his lips against my cheek as I climb inside. Then, to my surprise, he grabs the seatbelt, pulls it across my lap and buckles me in before stepping back and closing the door.

Rounding the front of the SUV, he slides into the driver’s seat, adjusting the mirror as Brex climbs into the back.

“Ready for the best weekend of your life, Rey?” Brex asks as he leans forward between the seats, lopsided grin in full effect.

Logan snorts. The engine rumbles to life, and we leave the airfield behind, merging into Portland traffic.

When I twist around in my seat, Brex’s face so close, I can see the flecks of gold in his brown eyes. “Any time is the best as long as I’m with both of you.”

Something softens in his expression before he lifts his hand and curls it around the back of my neck. He pulls me to him, mouth crashing against mine.

The kiss is deep and hungry, his tongue sweeping past my lips as I moan into his mouth, one hand gripping his wrist.

“Okay. That’s enough,” Logan’s strained voice cuts through the haze.

Blushing, I face forward again, but not before I catch him adjusting himself, shifting in his seat.

“I can’t drive with you two doing that. It gets me hard,” he mutters, jaw tight as he flips the turn signal and changes lanes.

Brex chuckles behind me. “Couldn’t help myself.”

“What else is new?” Logan grumble-sighs with a smirk.
