I smiled as Knox scooped Luca up and tossed him over his shoulder. Luca squealed with delight as Knox bounced him up and down.

Our life. It was time to start living our life now, and I couldn’t wait to spend every second of it with the two men I loved.

EPILOGUE

Knox

Six months later...

“You ready?” I asked as I stood with a hand on Luca and Lucia’s shoulders.

“Ready!” they answered in unison.

“Okay. Open your eyes!”

They did, and they both gasped in unison.

“Oh my God, Knox! It’s beautiful!” Lucia said.

“Wow! So cool!” Luca raced forward toward the completed house.

I’d kept them away the last month while we’d finished so I could do a big reveal. It was completely worth it to see the look on Lucia’s face.

“You like?” I stepped behind her and pulled her back against my chest.

“No. I love.” She sighed. “I can’t believe this is our house.”

The bright white paint looked vibrant against the mountains making a backdrop behind it.

She snuggled deeper against me. “It even has the wrap-around porch I wanted.”

“It has everything you wanted. Viking stove, big open concept kitchen, fireplace, finished basement, his and hers closets... everything.”

She turned around and threw her arms around my neck, squeezing me tight. “Thank you, Knox. I can’t believe you built this.”

“Well, I had a lot of help.”

“And you did a lot of work on it yourself. Don’t think I didn’t notice.”

“Just call me Bob Vila.” I grinned.

“Can I look inside?”

“Of course.” I opened my hand, and she slid her fingers between mine. We swung our arms as we approached the house, and the closer we got, the clearer I could hear Luca shouting his approval from the inside.

“Cool! Awesome! Is this my bedroom?”

“There are five bedrooms, but if it’s the one with blue paint, that one’s yours,” I called up the stairs.

“Five bedrooms, huh?” Lucia asked, her face twisting with the question.

“Yep. Five bedrooms.” A sly smile lifted my lips. “And any time you want to start filling those bedrooms up, you just say the word. Luca needs a couple siblings, don’t you think? In the meantime, we can keep practicing.”

Lucia laughed and shook her head. “Seriously? You’re ready to start filling up the bedrooms?”

“I’m ready if you’re ready,” I said, my playful expression softening.

“Really?” Her eyes bulged as she realized I meant it.
