My stomach dropped.
There he was.
“What?” Charlie asked.
The masked man disappeared through a doorway.
“Nothing.”
But, I was already moving.
“Hey-where are you going?”
“I though this was the way?”
He looks down the hallway I started down.
“This creepy as fuck hallway?”
I walked down the hallway.
There was a door.
Footsteps sound behind me.
Charlie.
I push through the door.
The farmhouse opened into a barn.
Hay covered the floor. Wooden stalls lined either side of us, their doors hanging open. Red lights swung slowly overhead, making the shadows move even when nothing else did.
Somewhere ahead, a pig squealed.
Or, something that sounds like one.
My friend stopped.
“No.”
I bit my bottom lip. “What?”
“Whatever is making that sound, I don’t need to meet it.”
A chainsaw roared behind us.
“FUCK!”
We ran.
The actor came through the doorway wearing a blood-covered apron, chainsaw screaming in his hands.
Charlie grabs me.
“This way!”
We tore between the stalls.
