“Get dressed, we leave in twenty minutes,” Crow orders and I’m on my feet in seconds. “Make sure you’re dressed to make dicks hard; I need them distracted.” His words are commanding, his eyes though are glued to his computer screen. It’s as if he isn’t affected by me in any way, shape, or form.

But I know he is.

I rush up to my room with a smile on my face. I’ve gotten what I want, and I’m excited to be able to do this. My father would take me to meetings, parties, and yet, I was always the entertainment. This time, I’ll be a guest. A thought hits me, and I wonder if they’ll be similar to the parties I attended as a teenager.

Will there be sex shows out in the open, or will they be more private? There is no doubt what kind of men these are. When Crow said I was to be his slave, it’s obvious what will be expected of me, I hope he doesn’t do what Dad did.

There was never a time I felt at ease after I learned about my father. Home was no longer a place of refuge, but a place of torment. Now I’m with these men, I’ve finally found a sense of solace.

I can’t explain it. I can’t deny I’m losing my mind because I should hate them. I should definitely not be wanting to spend more time with them, and certainly not learning about their work.

But as I pull the dress on over my head, and allow it fall along my curves, I know I’m going to be a part of their family. At first I wanted to escape, but now I’m here, lost in their world, I don’t want to run anymore.

Slipping on my heels, I twist and turn in the mirror and take in my appearance. Then, I slowly run my fingers through my long, blonde waves. I don’t bother with make-up, but I do darken the lines under my eyes, and add a black mascara which makes the gold of my irises pop.

When I’m done, I head downstairs where I find the three men in the living room. Crow is dressed in a black suit, his white shirt is crisp, crease-free, and the bowtie he’s wearing is a deep navy blue. The suit itself fits him perfectly, tailored to his stature, making him seem even more imposing than I could ever have imagined.

All three sets of eyes drink me in. The men hold their tumblers, but the drinks in hand are forgotten. Heat blooms on my cheeks, and for a moment, I feel like a teenage girl heading to her prom.

“Is this okay?” I ask, suddenly unsure of myself. It’s silly. I’m a strong woman. I’ve lived on my own for years. I ran from a monster, only to be caught int he clutches of three rabid bears.

“You’re wearing that?” Crow’s voice is pure ice. But there is a twisted darkness in his gaze and it makes my body ache for more of his darkness.

“Yes,” I tell him with confidence. There is nothing wrong with my dress. It covers what it needs to, but I can only imagine how his thoughts are currently exploding with scenarios because it hits me mid-thigh, and there is some cleavage showing. The back is covered, mostly, so I don’t know what the issue is. “What’s wrong with it?”

Crow shakes his head as if answering me is far too difficult. “Let’s go.” He turns on his heel, and as he leaves the room, I notice Falcon chuckling.

“What’s the problem?” I ask him, curiosity taking a hold of me. There’s no reason for Crow to act like a jealous boyfriend because it’s not at all what he is.

“You frustrate him,” Falcon tells me as if it makes perfect sense. It doesn’t. Not to me anyway. “The men where you’re going will enjoy the dress.”

“I thought it was the point.” I shrug it off which only makes Falcon laugh louder.

“You’re far too innocent at times,” he says. “Enjoy your evening.” He ushers me from the room, and I don’t know if I can say for certain I’ll enjoy the evening. It’s definitely not my idea of a good time. But at least I’ll get to see Crow in action. Something tells me it’s a sight to be behold.

By the time I reach the sleek black Maserati, Crow is waiting at the passenger door. I slip into the seat, and he shuts me in before rounding the front. He’s serious, more than usual. The scent of him fills the car when he joins me.

When the engine purrs, I can’t help but enjoy the powerful sound as we speed down the drive and out the enormous black gates. I haven’t seen the area, because when Hawk brought me here, I was unconscious, so being able to look out at the scenery is a welcome distraction from the man beside me.
