“Holy crap,” Gianna said, her book open to page two hundred and thirty-one, “what about the first scene in the castle?”

Everyone knew what she was talking about—because it was the first sexy scene of the book.

And it was definitely the steamiest scene I’d ever read in my life.

I was new to romance, but in the short time I’d been hooked on these books, I’ve managed to read dozens.

“Okay, okay, okay.” Jillian stood up and clapped to get everyone’s attention. “Before we get into that part of the book, we should start with our facials!”

Christ.

I did not know what that meant, nor did I want to know what that meant.

I seemed to be in the minority, though.

All the women surrounding me were beside themselves.

We were in Gigi and Beau’s apartment. Mostly because there weren’t any cameras in here.

After Jillian had helped me dig out from under the disaster I’d been living in—I felt more than obligated to do whatever she said. And the one thing she insisted on was coming with her to book club.

I didn’t know that book club would be upstairs at Gigi’s.

I also didn’t know that book club would be upstairs at Gigi’s—with my wife in attendance.

Our eyes had met the second I walked in.

Lexi’s hair was down. I knew she’d spent some time curling it with her flat iron because I’d watched her do it many times.

I found it mesmerizing and relaxing. The way she sectioned out the hair, clamped the wand in and twisted. Then, out came a wide, beautiful curl.

God, how I wanted to walk over to her, gather her up in my arms, dig my hand into her gorgeous hair—and kiss the supreme shit right out of her.

I swear to you.

If I had even one chance to kiss my wife, I’d be able to talk her into coming back to me—like I needed her to.

Even though we’d just been in the same yoga class—a look of shock had registered on her face. She obviously hadn’t thought I’d come to book club.

I half expected her to stand up and run away.

But, eventually, her eyes fell, and she turned to talk to one of her teammates.

The book club meeting had started a while ago—and she’d stayed.

I tried not to stare at her the entire time, but man was it difficult. Jillian had an impromptu yoga class right before this in the courtyard.

Of course, Jillian made me go.

I missed her classes, I knew that. And I felt it. Jillian led kick ass yoga classes. The ones online were okay, but Jillian’s were so much better.

Being back with the group again definitely felt cool.

What wasn’t cool was watching my wife move, and bend—and lie down.
