“Of course not.”

“You are jealous. I know you. You do not just notice women. Why can’t you tell the princess about what you are feeling?”

“I have nothing to say,” I denied. I only felt exasperation whenever I was with the princess. Perhaps there was a little bit of surprise and pleasure that at least she was not as dull as I thought she was.

“Why can’t you tell her about your -,” he gestured with his palms. He knew a bit of my secret, but not where it came from and how much it could do. He was discreet but perhaps had gotten so excited over the princess.

“You know I cannot tell her about that,” I murmured. “…and I am not here for love.”

“Why can’t you be here for love? You should see how she watches you sometimes. It is almost like she is stopping herself. Maybe she is afraid to hurt you,” Razuku said, his voice dropping. His voice got low whenever he was serious.

I wanted to tell him that the only reason Luella was watching me was that she was trying to figure me out. I was a mystery. Once I was no longer one, she would stop being interested. I left Razuku in the courtyard, not giving him an answer. He would just make room for more questions.
