I raised an eyebrow. “Busy. It means she’sbusy.”

“Doing what?” he questioned, just before his eyes went wide with some sort of realization that made him add, “Did you… spend the night there?”

The look on his face – thehurton his face – came very close to making me feel bad enough not to fuck with him.

But I hated niggas like him; lowkey slimy, charming enough to snake their way into shit they didn’t deserve.

Like… Tati’s bed.

“I did,” I answered him, honestly, knowing what he probably thought I meant.

Was it fucked up?

Yes.

But it was worth it, watching his expression change.

“She let you fuck her?” he asked, in a low whisper that I could only assume was meant to be intimidating.

“Bro, come on. I wouldnevertell a lady’s business in that manner, it’s a betrayal of privacy,” I answered, digging the knife in.

He glowered at me, mad as fuck. “Just answer the question!” he pressed, with a little extra bass that made me raise my eyebrows.

“I understand you’re emotional right now my dude,” I replied, trying not to laugh. “But you don’t get to demand shit fromme. And I damn sure ain’t about to tell you her business.”

“So… yes. She let you fuck her.”

I just stared at the camera.

And then, I grinned. “Tell me something—whatexactlyare you gonna do about it if Ididfuck her?” I asked, not giving a shit if the question pissed him off.

I didn’t like his damn tone.

And I’d already wondered why somebody with his bitch boy energy was able to pull aTatiin the first place, and now… my confusion was even more pronounced.

“You don’t want to test me,” he warned, serious as fuck, which was… hilarious.

So I laughed.

“I actually do,” I assured him. “Tell you what, next time we run into each other atBottoms,we’ll talk about it then, okay?” I said, and I didn’t know if he’d realized his mistake or what, but he was real quick on theend callbutton then.

Bitch.

“I see I made a mistake when I didn’t tell you not to touch anything,” Tati said a few moments later, when she stepped through the entrance to her kitchen and found me sitting at her computer. “What do you think you’re doing?”

“Just trying to stay up on the business,” I told her, shrugging as I moved out of her way.

She glared at the screen, then glared at me. “You think I don’t see thatcall endedscreen right there? Who were you talking to?”

“Nobody. Better known as Kev.”

She groaned. “I wish Brandon would go ahead and put that man out of his misery.”

“What do you mean?” I asked, going back to my plate.

“He’s trying to get the treasury position in the club.”

“I thought Ghost was on that?”
