"Yeah, that's what I said."

"And then you really did want me to take your virginity."

"That was pretty obvious."

"And so you really are into me for me."

"I'm not into you for anything, Oliver. Actually, I'm not even into you anymore."

"Liar," I said, grabbing her hands and pressing her up against the wall.

"What are you doing?" she asked, blinking up at me in shock.

"I think I'm about to give you the kiss you've been asking for all evening."

"I haven't been asking for anything," she said. But I could tell from the way her lips were trembling and the way she was staring at my lips that she was lying.

"Really?" I said in a deep, throaty voice as I lowered my face toward her. I blew into her ear slightly, and I felt her body tremble against mine.

"Oh, Rosalie, what am I going to do to you?"

"Oliver, I don't want to play these games. Either you're interested in something with me or you're not."

"I mean, I think it's very clear that I have been interested in something with you."

"Well, then why did you turn me down?"

"Because I didn't think it was a good idea for me to take your virginity."

"But you're okay with kissing me?"

"I think that's already been proven."

"So what, we're just going to kiss and pretend we don't want it to go further?" I look down at her.

"Perhaps."

"No, I'm not interested in that. And I'm also not interested in someone who would tell me that they didn't think I was good enough for them."

"When did I tell you I didn't think you were good enough for me?"

"When you said you couldn't really see us in a relationship."

"I didn't mean it like that," I said, shaking my head. "I didn't mean that I didn't want to date you because you weren't good enough for me."

"So then what did you mean?" she asked, an attitude in her voice.

"I meant that I don't know if our personalities are compatible. You're still quite young. You're trying to find yourself. I found myself, and I have a career. I'm an adult."

"I'm an adult too."

"Yeah, you are, but sometimes you act like a little kid."

"Sometimes you act like a little kid as well, Oliver."

"Really, when?"

"How about the fact that you didn't want me until you thought I still had the hots for my ex-boyfriend? And then all of a sudden you wanted me, and are willing to talk and try to make something happen." I stared at her for a few seconds and nodded. She had a point. Hearing about Graham had made me hella jealous and upset.
