I smile at him. I don’t need a crying man to take care of when my brand-new camera is all wet from the snow. “It’s okay; it was an accident. I should probably get this inside, though.”

I don’t wait for him to say anything else. I just grab my things and go.Crap, crap, crap!I try to get the camera to turn back on, but it’s not working. The lens is a little dented, and there’s a small crack running across the display. Why did he have to touch it? Now I have to get it fixed, and God knows I don’t have the money for that! I haven’t even had it for very long, and it’s already broken! Just great!

The closest place to me is the coffee shop, so I rush in there and head for their restroom. I do my best to dry the camera off, but the damage is already done.Damn it.I go back outside, and as I walk by the cash register, the girl working there calls out to me, a sour look on her face.

“Hey, are you going to buy anything? The restroom is for customers only.”

I’m tempted to tell her to get lost, but then there’s a man’s voice behind me.

“Aren’t you that girl?”

I turn around, and a young man is standing right behind me. He’s probably a few years younger than me, about twenty-two or twenty-three. Kind of cute. Tall as hell.

“That girl?” I ask.

“Yeah, I think I follow you.” He picks up his phone, and after some scrolling, he shows me one of my pictures. “It is you, isn’t it?”

I nod and smile at him. “Yeah, that’s me.”

“That’s so cool. I really like your content.” His dark eyes settle on my chest for a moment, so I know exactly what he likes about my content. Honestly, I don’t mind.

“Well, thanks,” I tell him. “I should probably—”

“Can I buy you a coffee?” he interrupts. “Unless you already have plans.”

I hesitate. A cute guy wants to buy me coffee. Might be just what I need after what happened outside. “Okay,” I give in. “Let’s grab a coffee.”

A blush spreads across his cheeks, and he scrambles for his wallet. It’s kind of cute how flustered he’s getting, just because he recognized me from my profile. “What do you want?”

“Latte,” I say. “Extra foam.”

He puts in our order while I go find us a table. Quickly, I search through my followers, hoping to see a profile picture that looks like him. I find him after just a minute, and I see that he’s a gamer. Not a massive following, but there are a few hundred people there, at least.

I stash my phone away when he joins me at the table and hands me my latte. I smile at him, and he’s blushing again. He keeps looking between my face and my chest, and I sit up straighter to give him a better view. The blush never leaves his face, and he just keeps saying how much he likes my pictures.

“What’s your name?” I ask.

“Sam,” he says, his blush deepening. Damn, he’s really nervous! It probably makes me a jerk, but I love watching him squirm like that.

“It’s nice to meet you, Sam,” I greet him, keeping my tone light. I lean forward, and his eyes instantly fall to my cleavage. I see him swallow hard, and then he takes a big sip from his mug. This is kind of fun.

“Um…” He clears his throat. “Yeah, it’s really cool to meet you, too. I only found your profile last week. You’re really pretty.”

“Thank you,” I say, smiling wide. “So, what do you do?”

“Me?” He looks even more flustered. “Um, I work just outside of town. I’m an IT consultant.”

I raise an eyebrow. “That’s pretty cool. How old are you? You must have just finished school.”

“I graduated in the summer,” he tells me. “I’m twenty-two.”

So, I was right about his age. I can see him working in IT; he looks kind of nerdy. Checks out with his gaming content, too. Maybe that’s a stereotype, but he fits the bill. “Do you like it?”

He shrugs. “It’s a pretty good job. I’m saving up to get my own place, but it’s so expensive. Here in town as well; even the apartments are overpriced.”

Does he still live with his parents? That must suck. “Yeah, I was pretty lucky when I found my place,” I say. “It’s not too bad.”

“How long have you lived there?”
