Declan: Send me some pictures of you in that lingerie.
Maggie: I guess I owe you because you’re on your own for the next month.
Declan: Exactly
Maggie: Do you want to video call while I wear it?
Declan: Wish I could. Don’t have a good enough connection here for a video call.
Maggie: Too bad (biting lip emoji)
One Hour Later
Declan: Hot damn. I wasn’t expecting you to make me a video. (drooling emoji)
Maggie: Well, I had fun doing it. (smirk emoji)
Declan: These pics are so fucking hot too.
Maggie: (kissing emoji) Will it keep you busy until next month.
Declan: Yes. Next month and beyond.
Chapter Twenty-Nine
Maggie
He’s standing at mydoorway, leaning against the doorframe when I open the door – just like he was the first time we hooked up on Election Night, waiting for me to let him into my hotel room. His face lights up when I open the door, and he surprises me by stepping inside the apartment, cupping my face with both of his hands, and kissing me deeply.
After a minute, he pulls back and says, “God, I’ve missed you.”
