“I want you to promise me that you’ll never talk of him to anyone. It’s really important. No one outside of our group.”

“I promise.”

He sighed. “Good girl. And yeah, I was jerking off.”

“Oh.” She looked away. Was she embarrassed? Horrified? “There was no spider?”

“Uh, no.”

“Should I spank you for lying to me?” she asked.

“I don’t think so, Little girl.”

Her gaze narrowed.

“But you do get a boon.”

“A boon?”

“Hmm, you can ask something from me. As long as it isn’t something that puts either of us in danger, is a risk to anyone’s health or career, then I’m sure I will grant it.”

She looked thoughtful. Then her face went red.

“You’ve thought of something.”

“No, it doesn’t matter.”

“Hey, if it’s something that you want you can tell me. Is it more treasure? I can go get my treasure chest.”

“No, it’s not that,” she said hastily.

Okay, he was getting very curious now.

“What is it?”

“Well, you know how we’ve talked about ways to help me become comfortable with the idea of sex . . .” she trailed off, looking even more embarrassed.

“Hey, we’re going to go at your pace. If you’re not ready for anything, then we won’t do it. Whether that takes two dates or twenty. Understand?”

The last thing he ever wanted was to upset her. Or to make her fear him. That would be devastating.

“It’s just . . . I kind of have an idea. Only . . . I don’t know if it will work or if I’ll freak out. And that’s if you even want to do it. Just . . . I just don’t know.”

“Right. Well, I’m not going to know until you tell me, am I?”

“I read about something in one of the Daddy Dom books I like.”

“What was it? Do you want to spend more time in Little space? We can do that. I know it’s not easy when I’m working a lot, but I’ve been thinking about cutting my shifts down.”

“No, it’s not . . . wait, what? Really?”

“Yeah. Working at the hospital isn’t as fulfilling as it once was for me.”

“It’s not . . . is that because of me? Because I can handle your work hours, Daddy.”

“Partly it’s because I want to spend more time with you. And that isn’t a bad thing so don’t take it on as though it was. I want to look after you, but that’s as much about me as you. But a big part is that I went into this profession to help people.”

“And you do.”
