“Save it for someone who cares,” I sneered, hanging up.

Fuck him and his fucking excuses.

Samuel Steele was a lying, cowardly piece of shit, and I was all too happy to cut him out of my life. But it wasn’t so simple where Scottie was concerned.

Feeling tense, I decided to shower first, then go in search of coffee and something to eat. With what little sleep I had, it was going to be a long fucking day.

Worth it, though.

My lips twitched as I let the memories flood in. It was dangerous to go there, to remember last night. But it instantly quelled some of the anger inside me. The memory of Harper beneath me, legs wrapped around my waist like a vise, her above me, riding me like a fucking pro. Taking me like she was born to do it.

I shovedthatlast thought out of my head. It was one night. The sex was great. She was great. But that’s all it was—a chance to get her out of my system.

Now I could move on with my life and forget all about my weird fixation with Harper Dixon.

“Morning,” I said, joining a few of the guys in the kitchen.

There was always someone hanging around. It was one of the perks or downsides of living in a frat house. I hadn’t pledged—not many of the lower classmen did these days—but the house’s history was tied to Sigma Delta Pi.

“What happened to you last night?” Ward asked as he hoovered up his cereal.

“I bailed around midnight, I think.”

“Lightweight,” he muttered.

“Were you alone?” Leon added with a look I didn’t like.

“Yeah, why?”

“Because Heller saw a blonde slipping out early this morning. And we can’t work out whose room she came from.”

“Sure as shit wasn’t mine.” The lie rolled off my tongue.

“Told ya,” Ward said.

“Well, it wasn’t me or you, Heller or Mac. We saw Tipper and Johnson come down with their bunnies.”

“Who does that leave?”

“Seriously?” I asked.

“What?” Leon shrugged. “Heller said she was hot.”

Everything went still inside me. “He saw her?”

“Only from behind. Said she had a really tight ass.”

Jealousy surged inside me.

Fuck.

I did not need this shit.

“I guess it could have been Adams.”

“Nah,” I said.
