“Delivery for Miss Katrina Williams,” the man said with a small smile. He had a red wine rectangular box in front of him.

“Thank you,” I smiled receiving the box from him.

“Enjoy the rest of your day.” He smiled as I nodded and closed the door behind me.

I definitely wasn’t expecting a package from anybody and I wouldn’t even lie, the excitement and anticipation was killing me as I carried the box into my house and placed it on the kitchen island.

I took off the cover of the box and the first thing I saw was the white card. Without wasting any time, I immediately turned it around to read the content.

I love seeing you. You are fast becoming the most important part of my day and I cannot wait to see you tonight. I told you to look pretty and I figured you would look prettier in this.

I picked this out myself so I hope you love it.

Love, George

I literally had the biggest smile on my face as I clutched the card to my chest. I set it aside and finally unleashed the content of the box.

* * *

I knewGeorge had impeccable taste, it was clear as day, but this dress was just heavenly and it fit me perfectly.

I had worked on my face a bit for tonight. I made sure to apply my mascara, and also apply eyeliner. I had gone for a subtle look because my hair and my dress were already doing most of the talking. I just applied a little bit of blush to add more color to my face. After applying my perfume, I took out the gold pair of shoes that had come with the package George sent earlier and it was a perfect fit.

Steadying myself and standing in front of the mirror, I almost took my own breath away. This dress was made of the finest silk and the front was a low neckline. It revealed just a little swell of my breast just the right amount to tempt George and leave him wanting more. The back was a halter back so I made sure to tie the ropes of the dress tightly. Although, I believed that wouldn’t do much good if George and I were to be alone for most of the night. There was also a slit on the back of the dress slightly above my knees. I loved everything about my look tonight.

The doorbell went off and I assumed that was the driver George had sent to bring me. I still had no idea where we were going on this date but I trusted George to take my breath away.

And I was definitely right.

When I walked into the Golden Fish and I saw George sitting at the table for two in the center of the restaurant, more color seeped into my face. He had actually followed through on what he said. He bought out the entire restaurant for us tonight. I stood behind George and cleared my throat with a bright smile on my face.

He immediately got up from where he was sitting and turned around to look at me with the most ravishing eyes. In that moment, it felt like the entire world was still and it was just the two of us in it. Nothing else mattered. His hazel eyes looked up at me with intense desire, then it morphed into something else I couldn’t quite decipher, but the way he looked at me had my heart racing.

He smiled and pushed the chair he was sitting on aside, making sure there was nothing between us.

“Katrina.” My name rolled out of his tongue so beautifully, I could not help myself from moaning. He took that as his cue to reach for my waist and without any second thoughts, he placed his lips on mine. This kiss wasn’t like our first kiss. This wasn’t raw, intense or powerful. This one passed across a kind of message of understanding, and it rocked me to my core. I wrapped my hands around his neck as his lips moved over mine. I wanted to feel every inch of him.

When we finally pulled apart, I was breathless.

He rested his forehead on mine and held my hands that were on his chest. He looked exquisite in this three piece suit. I mean I work with this man everyday but tonight was just different.

“If we are not careful, we will have to scrap the dinner and head home,” he teased.

“Well that won’t do because I haven’t had anything to eat today.”

George laughed, taking my hands in his to the other side of the table that had my chair. He pulled out the chair with his free hand and gently placed me on the seat before moving back to his.

Once again, we were face to face. Only this time, we had the table between us. My insides still felt like a thousand butterflies had erupted in my belly and I resisted the urge to fan myself.

“Did you really buy out the restaurant for just us two?” I asked him.

I didn’t thinkhe was bluffing when he made that statement, but really this felt like something out of the movies. Lily was really starting to rub off on me.

“Of course,” he smiled.

While we ate, George and I talked and laughed a lot. I was enjoying myself so much and I could see that he was too.

“You know, it was hard for me to believe my ears when I asked you out and you said no.” He had a glimmer of tease in his eyes as he spoke. I sipped my white wine as I leaned back into the chair.
