“So we’re living our own romance novel?”

I nodded. “Every fucking day, babe.”

Chapter Fifteen

Sloane

I opened my laptop and pulled up the message from Winter. I hadn’t opened it since I saw it at work, but it was in the back of my mind.

What do I say to one of my favorite authors who wanted to know what was up with me and the hot biker from the book signing?

Aero slept beside me, his arm draped around my waist, and his soft snores floated around me.

How did I put the past whirlwind weeks into words? I could hardly believe any of it happened, but it did because this sexy man was next to me. He had chosen me, and I was accepting it with everything I had.

Aero was my favorite book boyfriend come to life, and I wasn’t planning on ever letting him go. I was ready for whatever life had to throw my way and knew that he was there with me, whatever came next.

I poised my hands over the keys and let it all out.

Dear Winter, I know you messaged me earlier, but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to say. Now I know.

I’m ready to tell you how I got My Biker…

Chapter Sixteen

Olive

“It’s fine, Faye,” I called. I pulled into the gym's parking lot and parked by the back door. It was half-past nine, and I needed to get in there to wipe down all of the machines for the day. “I just pulled in.”

My mom could only watch Rocky until ten-thirty, so I needed to get my butt moving.

It had been Faye’s scheduled night to clean, but half an hour ago, she had broken down outside of Longview and wouldn’t be able to get to the gym.

“Thank you so much, Olive. I’ve tried everything to get this hunk of junk moving, but it’s deaddead.”

I shifted into park and grabbed my bag from the backseat. “This actually works out better for me, anyway. Rocky has a birthday party he wants to go to tomorrow, and now I can take him.”

“Olive,” Faye tsked. “All you had to do was ask me to switch with you, and I would have.”

“I know, I know,” I muttered.

“But you hate having to ask for help. I know,” Faye sighed. “I’m the same way, girl. Why do you think I’ve got grease under my fingernails and my engine in pieces on the side of the road?”

“Did you call anyone to come help?” I asked.

“Fucking Anthony,” she grumbled.

“Oh,” I winced. “There wasn’t anyone else to call?” Anthony was Faye’s ex, and he was not a good ex. He had treated her like crap, and after being a dick to her for three years, he cheated on her and told her that if she would have put out more, he wouldn’t have had to look elsewhere.

I hated Anthony.

“Why don’t you hang tight, and I can come get you when I’m done,” I suggested. “I just need to grab Rocky when I’m done cleaning, and we’ll be on the way.”

Faye sighed. “Well, I might have to take you up on that offer if he doesn’t come. He said he would try to make it out.”
