Shared blood. Shared power. Shared life.

His mate. His princess.

Tucking a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear, he looked up at the sentinel leader. One of the few Arcandians that made it to the centre, still standing. Bloody sword in hand, his eyes following the line of where she was pointing it at.

Simone stood bathed in the glow of the dark portal. Valentine flat on his back, out cold by her feet. The entire room shuddering. Flames starting to lick over the walls without burning them as the moon above turned a deep crimson.

As the Arcandians hastily tried to create a new binding circle, she couldn’t contain her laughter.

The dark priestess held her arms out. Turning on the spot out as the portal swelled with power. Her lips curling into a grin as she met Hydes glare from across the room.

“Its too late now brother” with another laugh she let the human guise she had been wearing drop away. The long raven black hair and sultry corseted body of the demoness who had healed him turning to wink at him.

Recognition shooting through him like a bullet.

His demonic sister. Her laughter was a warning that made even his hot skin run cold.

The portal swelling with dark pulsating energy. This shouldn’t be happening. Draven was dust. The ritual should have failed.

“Daddy’s here,”

his eyes moving to the portal, he pulled Talia behind him.

What was the saying? Out of the pan, into the fire...

Stepping out of the swirling vortex, the demon stood at twelve feet and some. Adjusting the shirt forming over his torso, the Arch-Demon turned his horned head to stare straight at him.

CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

The whole room bathedin the red glow of the hellfire that licked its way from floor to ceiling. Casting its reflection into the glass roof with enough heat that it started to splinter and crack.

The shadows of the room expanding, an unseen energy that made the skin crawl.

The acolytes that were still standing, dropping to their knees. They pressed their foreheads to the ground, their faces filled with a sense of awe.

Doors slamming around the room, trapping the few remaining vampires and Lycan’s that hadn’t been quick enough to escape.
