For a moment, that hung still in time. She could see the hells-cape, warping under the marble floor, reflecting in the flames bathing the walls. Thousand of twisted souls reaching up. Broken, maddened and desperate, their cry’s echoing hollow through her.

Before fading away. Red to black. The cold marble sealing back into place. Untouched and undisturbed.

Was that it?

Was it really over?

At Hydes tightening grip, she looked up into the face of the Arch-demon that had collected her soul after each sacrifice. Her breath catching as his voice lashed out between them.

Each syllable filled with deadly threat.

“Give me one reason I shouldn’t flay you for a hundred years,”

Straightening his shoulders, Hyde raised his chin. His eyes intent, he stepped in front of Talia. A soft growl vibrating through his chest,

“Your deal has been satisfied. A soul taken. She owes you nothing.” The heat of the room flared, causing the glass to crack even more overhead.

For a moment, she couldn’t breathe, as those eyes focused on Hyde. The power radiating from the Hell Lord was suffocating. She knew the horror it could inflict with a bored wave of its hand.

“Matthias. Prince of war. Kneel before your father, pledge your loyalty and return home.”

“Fuck. No,” He would not replace one old master with a new one. No matter the vows he had broken in his last life to be here.

His power rising as his eyes held the Arch-demon’s terrorising gaze.

“I am the Alpha of the Titans!”

He would not kneel!

Once a fully fledged demon prince, he could have withstood his father’s command. But now a half demon werewolf, not even being Alpha of the strongest pack on earth, would help withstand his father’s power.

The Arch-demon ruled over an entire plane of the hellscape and as his will crushed over his; it took every ounce of strength Hyde had to stand

He would not kneel!

He would not, could not, show that he was weaker. He had to protect her. Strength was the only thing demons respected and his was failing him. Around him, he could feel his pack falling to their knees, submitting to his father’s power as it rolled through the room.

His wolf whining as his power splintered. He stumbled. His fingers on her hand loosening. The Arch Demon’s power filling every part of him, urging him to give in. Commanding.

He would not be a slave!.

Blood to blood.

Her voice moved across his mind. The bond flaring to life between them.

Her scent washing over him, her fingers refusing to release her grip on his hand.

Tendrils of her magic wrapped around him, infusing his body with a surge of wild energy. He felt the seductive pull of her powers as it merged into his soul, casting aside feelings of uncertainty and doubt. The air itself seemed to hum in anticipation as he breathed her energy in.

The colors of magic swirled against her skin like watercolors, with red and gold flickers dancing in her eyes. His skin glowed red as their powers locked into place, sealing a forgotten promise.

He arched his back, drawing himself up to his full height, feeling a new strength thrumming throughout his body, flowing from him to his pack. As one by one, his wolf warriors lifted their heads and stood at the ready behind him. Behind their new Luna.

A deep rumble echoed from his chest as he declared fiercely,

“I will never bow!” His lips curled into a feral grin as he luxuriated in the sensation of having the feeling of her magic and energy coursing through him.

“I am a Prince of Hell.I am the Alpha!”
