After uncovering my head, I finally make it to the person’s face and see none other than Chayse. Holy shit, I can’t even help the way my dick starts thickening at the site of Chayse in a damn towel. I know I need to say something, but I am completely memorized by the sight of her in nothing other than a towel that barely hits the top of her thighs. There’s no doubt in my mind that if she were to turn around, I’d see her ass cheeks peeking out from the bottom. That’s definitely not helping the situation in my pants.

“What the fuck are you doing in my house Cash?”

“This is your house?”

“Yes, why the hell else would I be standing here in a towel.”

Just then Reid comes running through the door and about knocks me over. Although I’m pissed at my best friend, he’s just the distraction I needed to get my head out of my ass and stop staring at Chayse like a creep.

“Is everything okay? Oh, shit! Sorry, Chayse! You said to come in whenever we got here today so I told CJ that.”

She’s standing there looking pissed off and about ready to murder both of us. “Huh, so CJ is also Cash and your business partner?”

Looking uncomfortable, Reid runs his hands through his hair and gives Chayse a little bashful grin. “Um, yeah. He’s been CJ since we were kids, and everyone calls him that since his dad is also Cash. I’m pretty sure other than me and his family, everyone else calls him Cash.”

“Right, so you and Cash are going to be the ones fixing my house? Well, that’s just fucking great. If you two don’t mind, can you please give me five minutes and then I’ll meet you down in the kitchen?”

“Yeah, we’ll get out of your hair. Come on man. I need to have some words with my best friend as it is.”

I shove Reid towards the door and then bull past him in the hallway. I have to slow down once I hit the stairs, so I don’t fall through them, but that just pisses me off even more. We barely make it to the kitchen when I lay in on him.

“What the fuck, man? How could you not tell me our client was Chayse, the nurse from the hospital.”

“I’m sorry man. I had an idea that she was one and the same, but I knew if YOU knew this was her house, you’d want to turn the job down. We’re not really in a position to turn a job down, plus this one will be easily managed by only a few guys. That means we can take on other jobs at the same time. Plus, she basically has all of the materials we need to get it done. That cuts down on you and I having to source everything and wait for shipments to come in.”

Pulling on the back of my neck, I let out a breath. He’s right, but I don’t want to admit it. I find Chayse Wilson way too damn tempting, and I definitely wouldn’t have wanted to take this job on. But it is the perfect job for us to make a great profit and an even faster turn around with needing minimum man power.

“You’re right and I fucking hate to admit it. But I can be professional and get through this right after I apologize for basically walking into her in the shower.”

“Dude, she looked like she was ready to eviscerate us where we stood a minute ago.”

“No shit. I’m sure she’s not used to a huge ass dude standing in her room when she gets out of the shower.”

“That’s actually Landon’s room. I guess he’s high maintenance and insisted he needed a good bed and functioning bathroom to use when he’s here. Her master bath is a fucking mess, but I’m not really ready to jump into that because I honestly think that between her and her sister, they can do a better tile job than us.”

“I don’t know about that, but I really don’t love tile work so I’m fine with handing that off.”

“Oh, you’ll know that’s the right move as soon as you see the guest bath.”

Just as I go to reply, I hear Chayse making her way down the stairs and into the kitchen. I have no idea what to expect when she gets in here, but covering my balls doesn’t seem like a bad idea at this point.

“I’m so sorry about that Chayse.” But before Reid can get any further, she puts her hand up to stop him.

“Let’s just forget about it and move on. I had a horribly fucking long shift last night and forgot you guys were coming over. I should’ve put a reminder in my phone, but I didn’t. Thankfully Cash has fast reflexes and was able to dodge the speaker I threw at his head. So, are we good?”

Reid and I both look at each other and give a slight nod before turning to face Chayse. “Um, yeah. We’re totally good with that.”

“Alright, so what do you need from me and what are you planning on working on today? If you don’t need me around, I’m going to head over to my dad’s shop for the day.”

“I think Cash and I are going to do a walkthrough and map out exactly what we want to do and get a schedule today. I know what you want done in each room and feel like with Cash here, we can better map out a plan of attack and who will be here when to work.”

“Alright, that sounds good. My schedule is pretty crazy, but I can send you an email if that helps. And I suppose I can leave a spare key if I have to work on a day you plan to be here.”

“Yes, that would be perfect. I’ll give you our schedule so you can see how it mixes with yours. Also, I never ever let a client help with a build, but I know you know your shit. So, if there’s a day you’re off and feel like helping out. I’m all game and I know Cash won’t mind either.”

I give him a side eye and huff out a breath because that’s a horrible fucking idea. I’ve beat off at least 5 more times to images of Chayse since the last time I saw her. Seeing her here in casual clothes and wielding power tools will be the death of me. When I don’t reply immediately, he folds his arms across his chest and raises an eyebrow at me.

“Yep, from what I’ve seen, you know what you’re doing, and your help is more than welcomed.”
