Shila was shaking her head as Jinx touched the souped-up stun gun to the water that her feet were in.
The current danced on the water, up her legs, and made the woman’s body do a sick dance in the chair she was sitting in.

The woman moaned.
“Okay, Shila,” she said. “He doesn’t give a shit about you. He’s going to let us torture you until you die. Here’s the deal. You’re sleeping with him. You know either where Artemis is, or where we can find Silas Marx.”
She nodded.
“If you help us, we help you. Don’t die for a man who doesn’t care about you. Let him die.”
That seemed to loosen her bleeding tongue.
“I know where he is. I don’t know an Artemis,” she said, still shaking from the electrocution.
“We’ll take it,” Adder said.
At that moment, she opted to bargain with them.
“Promise I’ll live?” she asked.
“Well, that depends on what you give us. As for him, he’s not going to,” she stated. “I mean, who lets an asshole like him live. My husband wouldn’t let someone torture me.”
Mamba agreed.
“Ditto. He did you dirty.”
Over the com, they heard Dakota.
“Oh, we’re going to talk about torture and how this is just that for me,” he stated. “My wife needs a lecture.”
She grinned.
