“Love you, Allie.” I smile and kiss him, closing my eyes and sliding deeper into darkness, my mind finally settling.

For the first time in my life, I feel like I’m home. Doesn’t matter if it’s a hotel room or not. Home is wherever Ray is. He’s my home. Forever.

Epilogue

Raymond comes in the door, hollering and I whip around and glare at him.

“Look what your boys did!”

He snorts when he sees the dog. A dog that’s currently snoozing with a patch of hair missing from his ass. A patch of hair that looks like a smiley face.

His face goes blank when I glare at him. “I’m sorry, baby. I’ll talk to the boys.

Four pairs of eyes look up when he marches up to them. “Why did you boys do that?”

“Well, technically only Harry did that.” Griff smirks. But one look from his dad and he stops smiling.

“It was a bet, Dad.” I sigh. Trust my youngest, Marcus, to tell the truth.

“Who came up with the bet?” All four of them point to different people and Ray sighs. “Boys. When you do something wrong, you take your punishment. That’s part of what makes a man a man. You deal with the consequences of your actions.”

All of them sigh and then Carter stands up. “It was me, Dad. I bet Harry that he wouldn’t do it.”

Ray looks at Harry. “And why did you do it?”

“Because he dared me to. You can’t turn down a dare.”

“Yes, you can. A man knows what’s right and what’s wrong. He doesn’t do something if it’s wrong even if he’s dared to. Now you boys go get ready for bed. You are grounded for a week and no tv for a week.”

All of them leave the room, grumbling, and I smile when Ray wraps his arms around me. Ten years together and I still melt when he touches me. “I’ve missed you, woman.”

I close my eyes when he kisses my ear and his lips tug at the lobe gently. “I missed you too.”

“How’s the captain doing?”

“He’s better but he’s not coming back. That heart attack really got to him and his wife.”

“So what are they going to do now? Who’s replacing him?”

He turns me to face him, smirking. “How would you like to make love to the new captain tonight?”

Screeching, I leap into his arms. “Oh my god! I’m so proud of you! I can’t believe it!”

He laughs, a belly laugh that rolls down my body. “You didn’t think I’d get it?”

“I knew you deserved it.”

“And now you’re Mrs. Captain.”

Yelling erupts in the other room. I kiss him. “Time to break up your first fight, Captain!”

“Fine. But when I get done, I’m coming for you.” He dangles something in front of my eyes and I choke when I see what he’s holding. “I brought my handcuffs too!”

“Oh goody! It’s been awhile since we played that game!” He laughs and I run to the bedroom, pulling on a soft red lace teddy that pushes my boobs up just the way he likes it.

I’m barely in bed when he steps inside the door. “Come here, Mrs. Captain. I’ve got big plans for you.”

He dangles the handcuffs and I laugh as he rips off his clothes and then falls on me in the bed. Desire slams into me and I lose myself in his touch, the familiar warmth and love that swells and takes us both down in a flurry of passion. He thrusts inside me, my hands over my head, cuffed to the bed and my body his for the taking.

“God, I fucking love you!” I moan and sigh, thrusting up and feeling my orgasm ripping me apart, tearing me piece from piece until all that’s left is a quivering mess of love and satisfaction.

He grunts and pummels my body until he stiffens and comes, his warm release painting me with his love.

He falls across my body and then he reaches up to undo the cuffs and gently caress my wrists. “Thank god I found you, angel. I might have fallen into hell if you hadn’t lifted me up and pulled me into heaven.”

I smile gently, caressing his face. “You are my heaven.” And I smile, sighing and breathing in that familiar scent that surrounds me. Our lovemaking. Our passion.

Just us. That perfect union of all our dreams and passions. That same piece of heaven that holds us up and keeps us going through good and bad times. Our perfect life.
