My fangs drop at the idea of anyone else drinking from my mate and I hiss.

Felix steps forward, wrapping his arms around me. “Shh, I won’t let him drink from my veins. I can drain some into a cup for him. My blood is yours, Kitten, if you don’t want him to have it, he won’t. This is up to you.”

I stop hissing at his sincerity.

“You’re right. It is mine.” I take a second to think about Rion having some. It’s the least I can do considering how long he’s been starving and I know Felix won’t budge on leaving. “Okay, go do that. Can I grab some of your clothes to give him for now?”

Felix nods, kissing the top of my forehead. “Yes.”

He leaves and I pick out some stuff before going to Griffyn’s room. I’m going to assume it’s okay from him too.

I haven’t seen either of them wear these sweats, so I know they aren’t favorites. I march back downstairs and bring them to Rion.

He’s staring at them like they’re a rare beast and I’m crazy for handling them.

“Here. I’m sorry it took me so long to do this. Use them and don’t worry about any of the guys, especially Aksel. I will handle them.”

He grabs the pillow first, slowly like he’s not sure what to do. I’m shocked when he brings it to his nose and smells it.

“It smells like you, Anna,” Rion says wistfully.

I think I’m blushing, which is stupid because it’s just a pillow but he’s acting like it’s a rare gift.

“It’s from my bed, and so is the blanket. The clothes are from Felix and Griffyn.”

The stairs make a noise as Felix comes down them. Rion’s eyes shoot over there. He only reacts slightly when he sees who it is.

The smell of Felix’s blood makes my gums ache, but I restrain from reacting. Rion’s fangs drop and he stares at the cup, swallowing.

“Anna said you needed blood,” Felix says, holding the cup out to him.

Rion stares at Felix warily.

“And you’re offering yours?” His gaze shifts to me. “And you’re okay with your mate giving it to me?”

I give him a reassuring smile. “Yeah. It’s the least you deserve Rion. I’m sorry you’ve been treated this way. If you would just take my blood-”

“What?” Felix roars.

“Well, I offered him blood but-”

“You did what?”

He rounds on Rion. “You better not have accepted or I’ll-”

“Calm down! He didn’t, I just said that. What is wrong with you?”

Felix closes his eyes and his shoulders heave as he takes deep breaths.

“Anna, vampires mate with each other by sharing blood,” Rion explains.

My eyes widen. That’s why he has been so insistently saying no?

“But, I would have had to give you mine back to form the bond. It wasn’t at risk of happening, but because of mating, it’s extremely intimate for a vampire to share their blood,” Rion explains.

Felix finally gets himself under control asking, “You didn’t know?”

I shake my head. “No, I wouldn’t have offered it if I did. I’m sorry Felix.”
