Jillian puts the menus down and says, "I'll send the server over right away."

We thank her simultaneously, then laugh.

Arianna points to several items on the menu. "Their grilled goat cheese sandwich is absolutely to die for! And their soups... Well, every single one is amazing. Do you like soup?"

I laugh. "I'm Irish. I grew up on potato stew. Of course I love soup."

She grins. "Well, they don't have that kind here, but they have an absolutely delicious beer cheese."

I ask, "Ya have a thing about cheese, don't ya?"

She grins. "I usually eat heart-healthy foods, but this is the one place I don't worry about it. It's just so good. Oh, and we have to try their cheesecake at the end. It's so good."

I laugh again. "More cheese?"

She glances around and then leans across the table, lowering her voice. "If I tell you something, will you keep it a secret between us?"

"Sure."

Her lips twitch. "I'm pregnant again."

"Pregnant?" I look toward her stomach, not that I can see much with the table, and exclaim, "But ya don't look it!"

She grins bigger. "I haven't even told Killian yet. I'm barely six weeks. Oh, I'm so excited. But I had to tell somebody."

"Why haven't ya told him?" I question.

"I'm just saving it for the right occasion. I plan on telling him later this week when we go on our date night."

"Oh, ya guys have a date night?"

"Sure. We started doing it a while ago. Even though we go out all the time, we try to keep our date nights. He always does extra special stuff for me."

"Like what?"

"He brings me flowers, buys me something nice, gets a reservation at a hard-to-get-into restaurant...that kind of stuff. Just a little something extra."

"That's nice."

"Tynan doesn't do that for you?" she asks.

I open my mouth and then shut it.

She stares at me, waiting.

I offer, "We went to a really amazing place last night. It was Masa. Have ya been there?"

She claps her hands together. "Oh my gosh. Their food is to die for. I love that place, but Killian's not a big sushi eater, so he doesn't like to go."

I gasp. "That's a sin."

She laughs. "I agree, but we'll have to go one night on a girls' night out after I have the baby. I stay away from raw fish when I'm preggers."

"That would be great. I'm sure we'll come back to New York. Tynan loves it here."

She nods. "Yeah, he always said New York was his home whenever he returned from Ireland."

I wonder again if I could live in New York. Tynan is different here, and it's in a good way. I can't put my finger on it, but I like him in his element.
