He parks the car, and another message pops up on the phone. He reads it and says, "Alaina sent directions on how to get inside and under the building."

We leave the car, and Brody leads us through several back alleys. He stops in front of a large sewer pipe and opens it. He motions to me, declaring, "After ya."

I don't hesitate and climb down it, barely smelling the stench. The queasiness in my stomach hasn't lessened over the last hour, so this is a cakewalk as far as I'm concerned.

"Nasty," Devin mutters.

"Shut up," Brody orders.

It takes over ten minutes to get through several tunnels. We finally see Flynn standing guard outside a door with two other thugs. Brody shoots twice and the thugs drop to the ground.

Muted voices fill the air, and my pulse pounds between my ears. Flynn points to the door, then steps aside.

My brothers and I all pull our guns out, mimicking Brody.

Aidan turns the knob and pulls the door open. We rush in, and Devin shoots two thugs in the head. They drop to the ground.

"What the fuck was that?" one of the O'Learys calls out. It's Dagan or Grady, but I'm unsure which one.

We continue to rush forward, and a door shuts somewhere close by.

My rage rushes through my blood. Maeve's in there, I know she is.

"Don't kill me," Malachy cries out.

Fucking coward.

I've never been so angry in my life.

Brody nods.

Aidan points his gun at the lock, and we step to the side. He shoots, and men's voices fill the air.

Brody reaches for the door and yanks it open.

Dagan calls out, "I got your wife. Ya might want to be careful who ya try to shoot."

My heart sinks. I peek through the doorway and catch a glimpse of her. She's gagged, tears stream down her cheeks, and Dagan has her in a choke hold, firmly pressed to his body.

I debate what to do when a gunshot rings out. Blood bursts from Dagan's head, and he falls to the ground.

"Bastard," Devin mumbles, then another shot rings out.

Grady falls to the ground.

Devin boasts, "Don't threaten me."

I forgot how good of shooters my brothers are, especially Devin.

Maeve sobs harder, crouching on the ground in fear.

I glance around and see that the only one left is Malachy. He's hiding his head in a cot, shaking. An almost empty fifth sits next to his feet.

I lunge at him, yank him up, and punch him in the face.

His cheekbone cracks. He cries out, "Stop! Stop!"

"Ya motherfucker!"
