“You’ve never even met her.” I try to pull away, and he grabs my wrist.

“She’s a part of you, so I already love her.” My eyes fill with tears.

“Love?” He snorts at my wobbling lip.

“Christ woman. Would I be so stressed out if I didn’t love ya?” He pulls me into a hug, and I hiccup a few times before getting myself under control.

“I guess you would be crazy to chase me all over the US if you didn’t care for me.” He rolls his eyes at my statement.

“I need a location. This ends today.” I nod and point at the house.

“Can we go inside? I’ve been pretty much living in your car. I’d kill for a shower and a comfortable bed.” He nods and comes around to open my door.

Once we’re in the house, he takes me into his bedroom and strips me down to my skin. After testing the water isn’t too hot, he helps me into the shower and then stands and watches me.

“I’m a big girl, Issac. I can manage this alone.” I turn and catch him adjusting himself.

“Say it again.” He growls.

“What? Issac?” He nods, and I smile as I start to wash my hair.

“I’ll call you by your government name anytime you want. As long as I get a nap when I’m done here. I’m exhausted.” He leaves the bathroom, and I frown.

Did I say something wrong?

I finish my shower and wrap myself in a towel before returning to the bedroom. He’s sitting on the bed in his boxers, holding a box in his hands.

“Spark?” He growls.

“No, in our home. I’m Issac.” I nod and walk a little closer.

It’s a jewelry box that he’s spinning slowly in his hands. I take a deep breath, but it does nothing to calm my nervousness. The man just confessed that he loved me an hour ago, and now he’s got what could be a ring in his hands.

“Um, what’s that?” I whisper the words, not sure I want to hear the answer.

“I got this for you the day after you disappeared. I promised myself that if you ever came back that, I’d make sure you never left my sight again without it.” I choke up and nod at him when he meets my eyes.

“I think I need to sit down.” He stands, and we switch places.

When he drops to his knees, my eyes bulge out.

“Oh God,” the words slip out, and he smirks.

“I want to give you this, but I have a question first?” I place my hands over my eyes.

“Ok,” I say through my hands, and I hear him chuckle back.

I can’t bring myself to look.

“Are you allergic to anything?” What?

“No, why is it, not gold?” I’m dropping my hands when I feel a prick behind my neck and then a cold feeling.

“OUCH! What the fuck was that?” I go to the rub the area, thinking I’ve been stung by a bee or something.

“A tracker. You’re mine now. I’ll always know where you are. Better than any fucking engagement ring.” I kick him in the balls.

“FUCK YOU!” I scream at him as he rolls around, holding his junk on the floor.
