The man who killed Ivan, Gideon. Number one on my hit list right now. He went to New York. Thank God Nikolai is there to watch Izzy and my parents.

“If Nikolai has the opportunity, he will kill him, but hopefully he can get him alive.”

I touched the spot where Kyro got shot. “I don’t want you to go there. Please let Nikolai handle it. I don’t want you to get shot again. You got lucky with this one, but the next one…”

“Reyna…” Kyro sighs sweetly and leans in to kiss me. He takes my lips passionately. As he pulls away, his thumb rubs against my cheek. “I love that you worry about my safety, but you have to understand, I’ll do anything to keep you and Prince safe. If Nikolai needs me there, I’ll have to go, but I’ll come back to you. Trust me.”

“No.” I stand my ground.

“No?” Kyro is taken aback.

I cross my arms, “As you said, I am the mother of this family and I disagree. I won’t avenge Ivan if it means I lose you, too.”

Kyro shuts his eyes and smirks. “He needs to die. Ivan would want me to make sure that he’s dead.”

“But he told you to take care of us.That’swhat he wanted.” I retort.

“Can we agree he wanted both?” Kyro pushes a curl behind my ear.

“Yes, but not if you could die. You were shot in the back two months ago.” I scoffed again.

“If a doctor clears me, will you feel better, zhena?” Kyro scratches the back of his head.

“Yes.” I agree.

Kyro’s smile stretches even wider. “Then so be it, but right now, we have more pressing issues.”

The disgusting men in the warehouse.

“Let’s go,” Kyro takes my hand like the gentleman he pretends to be.

He pulls up one of his luxury cars and opens my door. He drives us to the warehouse where the men are hung upside down.

Kyro is smiling ear to ear like a kid who won a toy. “Do you want to start?” My hands twiddle with the choice of tools in front of me.

“No, I’ll wait my turn. I want to watch you, Reyna.” Kyro lingers behind me as he sits on a chair.

The men scream something in Russian and Kyro laughs. “He asked what you’re planning to do. I wonder that myself.”

“Hm. How should you torture a person who rapes little girls?” I ponder. “Do we have acid?” I asked, turning around.

“You seem to have a thing for chemicals, I see. You appear to have found your niche,” Kyro chuckles.

One of Kyro’s men brings me a small container and I give the order, “Open his eyes.” The first one is wide, and I pour the acidic liquid. He screams, almost into a high pitch.

The other two close their eyes in fear. Kyro walks up and checks his pulse. “Already dead? Well, that’s no fun.” Kyro groans.

“You can have the other two.” I shrug. “I’m sure this will take a while.”

“It will.” He chuckles sinisterly.

As I look at Kyro’s neck, I still can’t believe he got my name tatted. It’s done in a perfect font. The letters are clear and perfectly placed, with letters starting with the ‘r’ at the top and then the next letter under that one. My heart is thumping like the base of a speaker right now.

Screaming wakes the room and Kyro starts his favorite pass time. The murderous expression on my husband’s face as he enjoys slicing through their skin. His hands were soaked with their blood. He continues to torment and disfigure them until the screaming stops.

“They died quickly this time.” Kyro frowns.

I giggle and jokingly whisper in his ear, “Maybe you’re getting soft.”
