His jaw sets like he is going to fight me on this.

I hold up a hand. “Three fights, tops. Bring the girl, it will be a good show of her being in our pack. She can wear a mask like the other omegas that go. Pictures for the tabloids.”

He narrows his eyes at me, but I know I have him. He wants to get in the newspapers. And the idea of fighting while her eyes are on my every move makes me hard with anticipation. I am so screwed.

“Fine, go home and let them know. Tell her to be ready by seven, or I’ll help her get dressed.”

I grin. “You’d like that.”

He shrugs. “Possibly.”

With a foreboding eagerness zipping through my veins, I call the car back around to take me home.

“Seven,” Austin says just before the elevator doors shut between us.

A growl rumblesin my chest as I push open the apartment door.Alpha. In our space. All I can smell is their musk. I slam the door shut, making my presence known, and Felix shifts his eyes to me, like I am throwing a tantrum.

“Where are they?” I demand.

“Where is who?” he asks.

“The fucking alpha,” I say. After scanning the open area, another thought occurs to me. “Where is Audrey?”

He releases his lip ring, his eyes shifting to her closed door. I’m across the space beating on her door before I can think better of it. If she is in there with another alpha, they are dead.

“She won’t open the door.”

“The fuck she won’t. If she thinks she can sleep with another alpha inourhome, she is going to learn that lesson today.”

He sighs. “She isn’t in there with another alpha.”

That stops me. I turn slowly to look at him. He is standing now, looking nervous. In fact, I’m sure the musk I’m smelling is all over him. “I thought we had an agreement, no alphas in the apartment.”

He shifts on his feet and swallows. He looks guilty.

“Felix–” I warn. I’m already on the edge. Almost all of my ‘Saint’ persona completely shed like a snake sheds its skin.

“Saint, it isn’t–”

I’m across the space, in his face, breathing in the fucking ocean coming off of him in waves like he rolled around in the alpha’s cum. He lets me grab onto him, his body going limp like a rag doll.

“It’s me, Saint. It’sme!” he says. “I’m the alpha you smell. I’m a fucking sigma, I switched.”

I rake my gaze down his bare chest. He zipped his jeans but didn't button them. I don’t know why he would lie, but it makes little sense. He was a beta this morning. People don’t just change who they are, at least it isn’t common. Sigmas are unusual.

“I think it is Audrey. Since she’s arrived, I’ve felt different. Like something is waking up inside of me. Then this morning, I could smell her. Really smell her. And my body…it reacted. We, uh–”

“Jesus man, you didn’t…”

“No,” he says and swallows. “Well, almost, but she,” he pauses and licks his lips. “She thinks we’ve been lying to her, using me to tie her to us. Austin didn’t put my name in the contract as off limits. So now, she thinks it was on purpose so I could get close and claim her.”

“Fuck.” I really need to get in a fight ring. I have a lot to work out and three fights may not do it.

“Yeah.” He looks at the shut door like a lost puppy.

“She’s been in there since?”
