After Daisy’s initial nightmare last night, she slept soundly, as did I. And when I checked in on Kristie, she seemed to have an okay night as well. Not good enough to let her out of the cell, but it could have been worse.

Dad’s chest heaves, his jaw taut with irritation and probably a fair helping of pain.

I’ve no idea what’s happened in here since he was thrown inside. I trusted my men to deal with him as they saw fit, but he’s sporting some impressive bruises and the busted knee is no longer the only source of blood.

But while I might be getting off on this power trip after wishing for it for so long, I’m still struggling to muster up the energy to really go for it.

We have him. He’s going to die here.

That’s enough for me now.

I’ve got what I really wanted. She’s just a few doors down.

I have better things to spend my time doing in this house than being down here ruining his already fucked-up life.

“Gone,” he finally sneers. “Gone to be a good little whore.”

My teeth grind but I don’t react to his words other than that.

“Why?”

“Why not? Do you have any idea how much money she was worth? Pure little blonde girl. So much more valuable than your used-up cunt,” he spits before JD surges forward and throws his fist into Dad’s face. His feral growl bounces off the wall a beat before the sound of something cracking rips through the air.

“You don’t get to speak to our woman like that.”

“You always did like taking multiple men at once, didn’t you, princess.”

I step closer, staring right into his empty, cold eyes.

“You didn’t answer my question. Where is she?”

His smirk grows. “Probably dead. Like your mother.

“Useless fucking piece of ass,” he mutters under his breath before announcing. “She deserved it. Had no fucking idea how to be a wife.”

“You never deserved a wife, let alone two children,” Mav sneers.

“What about Victor?” I ask. “I’m guessing you don’t know where he is either.”

Dad glares at me, but he keeps his lips shut.

“Just as I thought.”

Glancing up at Reid, he clearly understands my instruction and reaches for another length of barbed wire.

Dad gasps as Reid steps up behind him and wraps it around his throat.

He doesn’t make a sound as the barbs pierce his skin, but I see the pain in his eyes.

“That hurt,Dad?” His jaw pops, the only reaction I get. “Still probably not as much as those men hurt me. Do you remember standing there watching as they abused me? As they hurt me? As they made me bleed?”

His eyes crinkle at the edges.

“You do. I know you do. But you still don’t regret it, do you?” My heart pounds as I wait for something. Anything. But he doesn’t so much as move. Hell, I’m not even sure he breathes.

“How much money did you make from me,Dad? What was I worth?”

When he doesn’t respond, Reid tightens the wire, causing blood to run down his bare chest.
